With all the new rumors floating around the net recently, including more supposed leaked images, discussions are heating up in our forums regarding the possibilities for Hasbro’s Fall lineup that we anticipate will be revealed (at least in part) at SDCC next month.
Head on over to the forums to join in the Episode VII toys discussion, but be aware that spoilers apply!
Recently I was part of a Q&A session with the fine crew at Faster and More Intense. The topics focused mostly on customizing, and general thoughts on things in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Head on over to their site for the full session.
So, if you’re planning on making a custom figure, be sure to get your entry submitted before the deadline! Or if you’d just like to kick back and check out some cool customs made by other collectors, the forums are just a click away!
If you’ve been able to get your hands on Hasbro’s latest 3.75″ Han Solo, chances are you are wondering how they could have given this otherwise flawless figure such a poorly sculpted (and painted) head.
There’s a quite simple fix though, as thankfully back in 2006, Hasbro “got it right” with Harrison Ford’s likeness.
This is a simple head swap for everyone, and takes no customizing skills whatsoever – head on over to the forums for a closer look and to share your thoughts!
Over the weekend, forum member Jodo ran into something very few people have seen at a Target store in a long, long time… several new Black Series figures. Not full cases, of course, since Target seems to reject the notion of giving their customers a full selection of Star Wars figures these days, but it still seems like a positive sign (I ran into some stores that also stocked last week, though it was as usual, just 2-3 figures at a time).
Keep those store reports coming in, and hopefully the last handful of figures from the final waves of pre-Episode 7 Black Series actually make it to the pegs in decent supply before the onslaught of product in September…
Another Yakfinities Customizing Challenge will launch in July, but before then, we need for our forum members to decide on the theme. Head on over to the forums to cast your vote.
Also don’t forget, there’s still a few weeks left to submit an entry in the current Yakfinities, Rebel Militia (lots of great customs posted already, so be sure to check those out even if you’re not a customizer).
For those active in our forums, you’re probably already familiar with the awesome custom diorama pieces that forum member Raylen creates, and offers up to fellow collectors. He specializes in obscure items that some may overlook, but these things are just too cool to not be part of any Star Wars 3.75″ collection.
His latest sneak peek is one many of us have been hoping would be available for our collections for decades now, and that time is finally coming if you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and do a bit of painting! Head on over to the forums for a closer look!
Rebelscum forum member Holographic_Elvis has posted a new image of the upcoming “Jabba’s Rancor Pit” set in their forums. Check out the full size image in all its glory here.
He notes that the retail price will be $130, and that it’s marked as a Comic Con product, but we should expect to see them in stores soon. Is the price just too much for this? Or are collectors willing to shell out that kind of money for a set of repacks, but with a new Jabba? Head to our forums to share your thoughts!
The latest Yakfinities Customzing Challenge focuses on the various troops fighting against the oppression of the Galactic Empire. Entries will be accepted through June 30, and so far we’ve had some great submissions.
