It’s that time of year again! The annual American International Toy Fair kicks off tomorrow and we’ll be on the floor to provide you the latest news from many of the Star Wars license holders so watch for updates here and on facebook. Surprisingly, there have been relatively few product leaks so hopefully that bodes well for this being a great show!

Big LEGO STAR WARS™ NEWS!!!! LEGOLAND® California announced today that they will be unveiling an all-new Star Wars™ themed area in miniland this March! For those who are not familiar with miniland, it is an area in the park that re-creates different cities and landmarks from around the world, all in minilandscale! (More information about miniland is attached) This is the first time that LEGOLAND is adding a themed area and what better theme to add than Star Wars?!
With over 2,000 LEGO models, the miniland with follow a chronological path through the I timeline – Episodes I – VI plus Clone Wars will all be there! Individual film scenes were selected by a panel of LEGO, LEGOLAND and Lucas Film experts.
The miniland will have over 1.5 million LEGO bricks, weigh more than 1.3 tons and took over 13 months to develop and build.
The Official Site has updated with a teaser regarding tomorrow’s 2011 CES (Consumer Electronics Show). Word is that there is going to be more details revealed regarding the Blu-Ray release of the complete Star Wars Saga.
We’ve opened a thread in our forums asking what are you anticipating and/or looking forward to see at this year’s Toy Fair. It’s hard to believe it’s only 6 weeks away!
Katie is a first grade girl who has been teased for bringing her Star Wars water bottle into school because the boys in her class say Star Wars is only for boys. Since her mother posted the story on the web, people of all ages have read and commented to show support for the girl to like whatever she darn well pleases.
Let’s really give her something to smile about. Today, wear a Star Wars tee shirt or any other piece of paraphernalia to show that you support Katie, Star Wars, anti-bullying, or at the very least, cool water bottles. If you don’t have any, be creative.
Invite everyone you know. Let’s show Katie and those boys at school how much support she has.
The Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) reminds fans and collectors that their fourth bi-annual charity lapel pin is still available. Order soon for delivery in time for Christmas!
The 2010 pin features Luke Skywalker on his tauntaun with DCSWCC’s signature Washington Monument in the background, in honor of the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. Fourth in DCSWCC’s series of high-quality cloisonne lapel pins, officially sanctioned by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped and numbered on the back. Only 1000 will ever be made.
This Sunday is the last ToyMan collector show of 2010 and wraps up another great year for this popular collector show.
