Episode 29: The Walgreens Stalker
This week’s episode of The Realm Recap focuses heavily on the Black Series 6″ line as the first wave of the new “black and blue” line look has been hitting Walgreens stores hard (except mine of course). We also look at an amazing 6″ scale AT-ST work-in-progress that must be seen to be believed. We also discuss the merits of the new Rebels “Mystery” set that was revealed this week and the new products hitting the Disney Store and much more. Click on through to check out the latest episode and feel free to subscribe to our channel and leave suggestions on what you’d like to see covered on the show.
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.
Talking Boba Fett Packaging Errors
Patrick B. shares with us an image via Facebook regarding the packaging for the Disney Store Exclusive Talking Boba Fett. As you can see, the product reference image on the back of the box is missing some key elements of the figure. Click the image above for a closer look.
Received my Disney Talking Boba Fett. Well-packed and in perfect condition. Great figure at 13.5″. Attached is a shot of the box back. I found it interesting that it’s the mock-up figure missing key items (I marked them).

Toyguide Update: Disney Store Exclusive Limited Edition Darth Vader Figurine
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with our next entry in the series of Disney Store exclusives: the Limited Edition Darth Vader Figurine.
PROS: The overall sculpt and size is good, making it manageable for most display applications. The deco has a nice mix of glossy and matte finishes (with a few paint application issues) to give depth and realism to the dynamic pose. The statue has some heft to it so it doesn’t in any way feel cheap or plasticy. Imperial cog base gives it nice presentation while making it very stable for displaying. No assembly required.
CONS: A bit pricey for the size and its limited edition (500 piece) production run is driving up the secondary price on eBay with listings ranging from $200-$1000.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and judge for yourself whether this piece is worth adding to your collection.
You can also weigh in with your impressions on the figures we add to our toyguide on facebook and in our forums.
New Star Wars Blog Post Reveals Painted Talking Boba Fett
You saw our initial report for the Disney/Star Wars Event last April regarding the upcoming Boba Fett in the Disney Store Exclusive Talking figure line. Today, the Star Wars Blog updates with an article by Steve Sansweet about the event and within the images, you can see a sneak peek at a painted version of Boba Fett. (Look closely for painted versions of the die cast vehicles as well.) Look for him later this year alongside Chewbacca at your local Disney Store and DisneyStore.com
