Join us for an all-star show! On this episode, we discuss the current status of the Hasbro Haslab Rancor and also reflect on the period after the original Star Wars toy line ended in the 80’s, better known to most fans as “The Dark Times”. Â
Per the above, in an effort to save this project, Hasbro is adding a Black Series Malakili figure to the basic package of 9k backers for the Haslab Black Series Rancor.
Will this be enough to push this project over the top? Or is this too little, too late?
The final two tiers for the Haslab Rancor have been revealed. ROTJ Carded Salacious Crumb (16,000 backers) and Luke Skywalker – Jedi Knight (19,000 backers).
Luke is 100% new for this release.
Hasbro prefaces their own upcoming Fan First Friday livestream with in-hand images (courtesy of C|Net) of the physical prototype of the Haslab Black Series Rancor giving (potential) backers a better sense of scale for the beast. Do these new images move the needle for you in either direction for supporting the project?
Funding closes on Dec. 6 at midnight.
Hasbro will be taking to YouTube this (Fan First) Friday, November 19, at 11am ET to reveal the first painted model and remaining tiers for the Haslab Black Series Rancor.
Hasbro has revealed the second tier/stretch goal for the Haslab Black Series Rancor. Tier 2 includes a set of bones and a cardboard backdrop for ” world-building” and unlocks at 13,500 units backed.
Hasbro revealed the first tier in their Haslab Black Series Rancor campaign and it made many squeal – and not in the good way. Hasbro choose to lead off their first tier with a repack of the Target Exclusive 6″ Gamorrean Guard but on a POTF cardback with coin. This figure is unlocked at 11,000 units sold.
The string on livestream content continues this Friday with another Fan First Friday featuring the Haslab Black Series Rancor. Will they alter the deal and reveal or tease the first tier to potential backers to get boost in support? Tune in to YouTube on November 5 at 11am ET to find out.
As a follow-up to last month’s exclusive report, I have found more records showing that additional shipments of the Vintage Collection HasLab Razor Crest are arriving in the U.S. as recent as Oct. 10. I don’t have an exact quantity at this point but it is still good to know they continue to arrive despite the port congestion and shipping issues plaguing the West Coast.
You read that right. Tonight I was able to find documentation that the HasLab TVC Razor Crest is currently shipping to the U.S.!
A Christmas miracle?
