TVC Archive Edition Stretch Goal Update

From BlueMilk via Instagram

We’ve almost reached the next stretch goal for our Kickstarter campaign, so we thought we’d give you a glimpse at how we’re turning a photo of a TVC Jabba the Hutt figure into the obverse side of a coin (with a few special modifications). Please note the design is not final.

If we meet the stretch goal before the campaign ends on Sunday, all book backers get a 3-coin set featuring Jabba, Boba Fett’s Slave I, and Jabba’s Sail Barge coins (in addition to all the other unlocked stretch goals). We know this is a stretch goal many of you have been hoping gets unlocked.

We also recognize that our international backers are hit with some stiff shipping charges as a result of postage rates that are out of our control. As a token of our appreciation, all book backers with an international (non-U.S.) shipping address will receive a second coin set with the 3-coins struck in a gold color. While it may not ease the burden on the shipping costs, we hope our international friends find the ultra-limited, gold-colored coins a nice addition to their collection.

Update: TVC Archive Edition Reaches Another Stretch Goal

We’ve reached our $125k stretch goal milestone and are moving on to a stretch goal that’s close to our hearts. At $150,000 all book backers will receive a recreation of the reverse-side of Kenner’s 1984 Star Wars is Forever mail-away poster (shown above) using Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection action figures and vehicles. The poster will be arranged and photographed by its original creator, Kim Simmons. Kim was the principal Star Wars photographer for Kenner between 1981 – 2000 and if you own any classic Kenner items, it’s a sure bet his photography is featured on it.

Incredibly, Kim has confirmed he still has some of the original elements he used in the 1984 poster and they’ll be included in his TVC recreation! The 18×22-inch poster comes folded in a mailer envelope, like the original.

foamtrays

Toy-Gear is proud to introduce Action Figure Archival Trays as the perfect compliment for quality loose figure collections of Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Indiana Jones, Marvel and more.

Their 4-inch figure sized trays have been specifically designed to fit most modern and vintage action figures and provide a neutral, padded, organized long term storage solution. They also make for a great way to display your figures with an acrylic stand or mounted directly to a wall.  They even have trays coming for larger sized action figures.

They are doing a Kickstarter to help get the word out about their product, and also to build up a large enough initial inventory of trays for local toy shows and online reviewers.  As an incentive for this Kickstarter, they are offering their trays at a special lower price than we will be at retail.
