Continuing their tradition of Ralph McQuarrie themed mini busts for SDCC, Gentle Giant has announced the Yoda McQuarrie Concept Mini Bust.
Designed, modeled and prototyped using top of the line 3D technology, the 1:6th scale Yoda (Concept Series) mini bust is hand cast, hand-painted and hand-numbered with a limited edition Certificate of Authenticity. The bust is a limited edition of only 750 pieces.

Remember the days post-SDCC where collectors would spend their free time refreshing HasbroToyShop’s website in order to try to score their exclusives? Hasbro has updated their site today narrowing that period down considerably by announcing that exclusives will go on sale sometime on August 13. Bookmark this page for reference and make sure your order info is up-to-date for quicker checkout.
Speculation has been swirling like an icy wind around the possible Black Series exclusives for this year’s SDCC and we believe we have some frozen solid details for the first of three potential offerings. Echoing back to previous years, SDCC exclusives are often based on what’s come, and that holds true here, but it also pulls in another figure from out of the blue (with a fresh new face). Although not entirely scene accurate, the presentation may get you all mushy over it.
Hasbro has announced their first SDCC Exclusive via iO9 – The Doctor Aphra Comic Set featuring 3.75″ Dr. Aphra, BT-1 and Triple Zero presented in the classic Vintage 3-pack format. Check them out here.

Gentle Giant has announced their first SDCC exclusive. Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, their be offering a Jumbo Kenner Boba Fett on ROTJ card back.
The Boba Fett Jumbo Figure will be available exclusively at our booth (booth #3513) at San Diego Comic Con July 18th-22nd. However, we have set aside a limited quantity of them for current members of our 2018 Premier Guild Collectors club. Even if you are not able to attend Comic Con 2018 you can still join the Premier Guild and order one (while available) and we will ship it to you after the convention*. The Boba Fett ROTJ Jumbo will be available to pre-order for 2018 Premier Guild members at 12noon pst on June 4th through June 6th. As expected, there are a lot of ornaments planned for 2018. Images have made their way online of some of them which will be available starting in July including the SDCC/NYCC release. Click on through for a preview.
In the next couple of weeks, retailers will be taking preorders for the new assortment of 6″ Black Series medium size vehicles which will include products like the Dewback with Sandtrooper that was previewed at SDCC. Toys”R”Us has already started seeing them show up in their databases, expect to pay about $50 for offerings in this assortment.

Collectors have been curious about the release plans for the 6″ Black Series Dewback with Sandtrooper since its reveal at SDCC. As of now, plan on seeing it on shelves Fall Spring 2018.
