The crew over at BanthaSkull.com have posted a new list of Target DPCIs taking us from now through the first part of 2012. Head on over for the breakdown.
UPDATE: I hit up my local Target today to check out the new DPCIs and grab their corresponding prices:
Target is resetting their aisle this week and in order to clear out existing product, they are quietly clearancing the previous DPCI/SKU (087-06-1402) for the Deluxe Vehicle with Figure sets to make way for the new Class I/Rapid Strike Vehicle DPCI/SKU. Last night I found the Y-Wing Scout Bomber and Republic Scout Speeder for $5.08 a pieces while their case mates – the Naboo Skiff and Cad Bane Speeder Bike (in new packaging) rang out at full price. It might be worth a trip to the Price Scanner to see if your store is doing the same thing!
SDCC-time always seems to kick off the release of new product at retail as another local collector posted at JediDefender that the Blu-Ray Commemorative Sets (DPCI: 087-06-1831) have also hit Target stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and are priced at $24.99 each.
UPDATE: These are now in-stock at our sponsor Entertainment Earth.
I’ve read a report from a local collector friend, “Bob Dylan SW fan”, that the Clone Wars Republic Attack Shuttle has hit retail at Target and is priced at $79.99 (087-06-1822). Also, large quantities of Vintage wave 7 have hit several Target stores in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. But, for me the hunt continues….
While venturing out today in search of TVC wave 7 (which I didn’t find, BTW) I noticed that the Target store in my area have lowered their TVC pricing to match the Clone Wars and Saga Legends assortments. Hopefully this lower price will clear out the dregs and make way for new product.
No, they’re no leaving Target’s aisle yet, especially at this new price. As reported by our friends at Jedi Temple Archives, I too ran into the $16.29 Geonosis Arena Sets (previously $12.99) at my local MN Target. As a consolation, both Clone Wars Geonosis 2-packs were marked down to $11. Hey, let’s keep a little optimism here. : )
