Today we have some new Target DPCIs to share that tie to the Force Friday II launch and beyond. These codes are listed simply as “Star Wars” through Brickseek, but on Target’s internal systems, some are linked to The Black Series, but we can’t confirm which at this time.
Thanks to an image shared via the 6″ Black Series Collectors Facebook group, collectors can now start to expect wave 2 of the 40th Anniversary Collection to start hitting Target soon.
Twitter follower NJ_Tree sends us the above snapshot from the Toms River, NJ ThinkGeek and as you can see, there is nice supply of current Black Series figures including the much-lauded Imperial Royal Guard.
As if figure and packaging variations weren’t enough, Casey B. tipped me off to a running change for the display frame for the Darth Vader Legacy Pack. First shipments (both red and brown eye variants) included a silver double racing stripe frame. Current shipments now feature white stripes (not the music band). Click the image above that I snapped for closer look.
K & C Collectibles has added Star Wars Insider Comic Store Cover, 30th Anniversary Order 66 Action Figures and Vehicles, Trilogy Collection, Saga Vehicles, Power of the Force, Ask Yoda and Playskool Millennium Falcon. Hasbro has sent word to distributors that open preorders/backorders for the 40th Anniversary Collection wave 1 (consisting of Han, Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan and R2-D2) will not be fulfilled as the wave has reached out of production status.
Joining all of the wave 2 card variants for the 40th Anniversary Collection, the Darth Vader Legacy Pack box has also received the text adjustment for the age recommendation – switching to all UPPER CASE. Since Target has given up the ghost on carrying this set, you can continue to find steady shipments of these hitting Walmart.
UPDATE: This text change also extends to the Darth Vader cardback inside the box making for 3 distinct carded versions:
“Red Eyes” variant – lower case text
“Dark Eyes” variant – lower case text
“Dark Eyes” variant – UPPER CASE text
Today we have an update regarding the status of the highly anticipated 6″ Black Series Hera Syndulla figure. Now, we can share that Hera will be slotted into the first wave of 6″ Black Series figures for The Last Jedi, launching on Sept 1 (Force Friday). Click on through to check out some new images.
