Disney+ has officially launched and with it is the highly anticipated first episode of The Mandalorian. I, for one, thought it was a great introduction to this new era of the Star Wars universe. Feel free to weigh in with your comments (spoilers allowed) regarding the first episode of this series.
Thanks to a tip from Xavi Qel-Droma, we can share this new image of the upcoming 6″ Black Series Heavy Infantry Mandalorian from The Mandalorian. No word yet on availability in the U.S. but last I heard, is a shared/fan channel exclusive. This figure also confirms a listing on our Master List for a Hot Wheels Character Car of the same name.
Based on a leaked POP! List from a couple weeks ago, the full name of this figure is possibly “Heavy Infantry Mandalorian”.
A new email blast from GameStop reveals 3 Star Wars new pins available on select dates with the purchase of $50 or more in Black Series products. Collect all three from The Mandalorian, Jedi Fallen Order and The Rise of Skywalker.
Vanity Fair has and exclusive article revealing Ming-Na Wen’s character, Fennic Shand, from The Mandalorian. Head on over to check out the article plus some new footage!
Also revealed yesterday at Manga Barcelona was the Vintage Collection Remnant Stormtrooper from The Mandalorian. This figure utilizes the excellent Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper sculpt and features a weathered deco.
If our info is correct, this Trooper is the figure codenamed “DUCK” in our Master List of UPCs/SKUs. Interestingly, that would also support our theory that the upcoming TVC “DUCKBOAT” vehicle is directly related to this figure and is may be a new Troop Transport which would be quite awesome considering Jon Favreau’s affinity for designs and concepts from the Original Trilogy and EU/Legends.
Recently, several new clothing items have popped up via various retailers (Amazon, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Her Universe etc.) which share a lot of the same key art for The Mandalorian. One in particular seems to have not gotten much fanfare is a new Outland TIE Fighter which looks to have collapsable wings for landing. It will be interesting to see how this features in series and if we’ll get one in toy form, in any scale, any time soon.
