Customizing Spotlight: 6″ Prototype Boba Fett

If you have been following along with our recent episodes of The Realm Recap, you’ll be familiar with the fact that I recently acquired a gorgeous custom 6’ Prototype Boba Fett from talented customizer Chris Veach. As I alluded to in the show, I thought how cool would it be to have a custom box to go along with it. So, after some quick prototyping (pun intended) I came up with a nice design to complement Chris’s work. Click on through for a complete gallery of images.

DESIGN PHASE/PROTOTYPING
The design of the box is fairly straightforward. It is a modification of Hasbro’s Black Series aesthetic changed to complement Joe Johnston’s original “Super Trooper” concept for Boba Fett.

ASSEMBLED BOX
With the box fully assembled, you can see that it does look a little rough around the edges. This was a conscience design choice in order to keep the packaging looking like a prototype as well.

The custom box is nothing though without its contents. Chris did an amazing job at capturing the look of the prototype armor and deco. Even the dent in the helmet was filled in/patched to capture Johnston’s original vision. Chris also included a “new” blaster which was a modification to the rifle included with the Revenge of the Sith (III-23) Royal Guards.
