Update: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection
Kithaba Bandana Variant
There is another. On the heels of our post regarding the Dr. Evazan variant, Eddie from DorksideToys.com has sent us an image of a red bandana variant for Kithaba. Click the image above to check it out!
Evazan Variant Confirmed
Over the weekend, Galactic Hunter posted on their Facebook page a theory of a possible face paint variant/running change for Dr. Evazan. We’ve received visual confirmation of this thanks to reader Frank Laureyssens. As you can see, one has a pink facial scar under the right eye and the other does not. Click the image above for a closer look.
Episdoe 343: Heavy Metal Star Wars
While pictures online of the next wave of Vintage, Movie Heroes, and Clone Wars figures appear on Star Wars collecting sites, the stores themselves are still lacking in new Star Wars toys. But just because the latest wave of figures isn’t there doesn’t mean there’s nothing to buy! On this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast, Marjorie and Arnie recount their multi-city toy run and play your voicemails. Listen to find out where to get discounts on Legos, exclusive Hasbro toys, Gentle Giant busts, and more!
Also on this week’s show, Marjorie looks at a unique high-end Etsy seller of custom Star Wars artworks using scrap metal. These expensive steampunk renditions of classic Star Wars characters and vehicles are a unique way to show a love for Star Wars.
Plus a rundown of Steve Sansweet’s Ultimate Action Figure Collection, it’s all on this week’s Star Wars Action News podcast!

Toyguide Update: CW12 Obi-Wan Kenobi
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the next addition for the 2012 “Darth Maul” product line. We continue with Obi-Wan Kenobi (CW12) sporting an(other) all-new new sculpt in The Clone Wars line.
PROS: A far better likeness to the animated character model. The sculpt for the clothing is on par with the non-animated figures in terms of detail. The recycled climbing pack adds some fun factor back after loosing some articulation.
CONS: The lack of wrist and ankle articulation (especially the wrists) really effects the posing possibilities essential for Jedi figures. An odd/unnecessary “double dip” since Hasbro just released an all-new Obi-Wan last year. Too bad this new head sculpt won’t fit on the previous Obi-Wan body.

Toyguide Update: CW11 Republic Commando Boss
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the next addition for the 2012 “Darth Maul” product line. We continue with Republic Commando Boss (CW11) from his cameo in The Clone Wars Season 3.
PROS: The general sculpt of this new Republic Commando (taking into account the articulation defects) has nearly made all previous version pale in comparison. The proportions are beefy and the overall design blends the lines between
“animated” and “realistic” quite nicely. The pack accessory is not only a fun toy, from a playability standpoint, but it is useful as it can store his zipline and 2 small blaster inside for safe keeping.
CONS: The lack of wrist, knee and ankle joints hurt the fun-factor of this figure as their absence limits posing options and keep this figure from becoming truly great. Distribution issues what they are will probably make it a tough piece to track down without repeated trips to your local toy haunts.
