Following our report a few days ago on the Target Exclusive Clone Wars Battle Packs being marked down, it appears that Target stores are actually raising the price on the Hidden Enemy set, while marking down only the Hostage Crisis companion set.
Seems odd, but could this scheme be related to their upcoming TheSearch for Luke Skywalker set?
See what we’ve uncovered and share your thoughts on this development after the jump!
Target stores are starting to clear out their old exclusive Clone Wars Battle Packs, hopefully to make room for their upcoming Fall exclusives.
As always your mileage may vary, but if you’re in the market for marked down figures, you might want to check those clearance endcaps next time you’re in a Target store!
Hasbro’s purge of Wave One and Wave Two Vintage pegwarmers that have been killing the line has hit the St. Louis area, as today I discovered a store that is starting to finally see some relief from this distribution nightmare. The pegs were bare! Crazy to think that seeing EMPTY PEGS is a positive sign!
Let’s hope this becomes a common occurrence around the country, and that the measures Hasbro is taking to try and save the line pays off – share your thoughts in the forums!
Recently Yakface forum member TK1945 shared an amazing custom project in the forums – a Scout Class Jawa Sandcrawler!
This thing is huge – just imagine an official Hasbro Sandcrawler anywhere near this size! As that may never happen, fans like TK1945 can make up for it in their own way with efforts like this – check out all the pics he has shared after the jump!
With Hasbro phasing out the Galactic Heroes line, it was only a matter of time before the AT-AT would begin to get marked down or find their way to discount stores… they have now been found at TJ Maxx stores for the great price of $19.99. So if you’ve been considering picking one up, and have one of these stores in your area, this might be a good time to make an extra stop on your next toy run.
The ToyMan Collector Show is back in St. Louis on Sunday, September 25th. With over 180 dealer tables, you never know what Star Wars, GI Joe, or Transformers items you might find, and often at great prices. For more details, click on the image above.
One of the most anticipated figures of the year is now available loose via overseas eBay seller tunghori. These probably won’t last long, and with distribution problems continuing to affect the TVC line (combined with this figure being slated at just one figure per case), why not click on the image above and order one? Or is it worth holding out in hopes that Hasbro will come through and this figure won’t be so difficult to track down in stores? Share your thoughts in the forums!
It’s that time again… category voting has begun for the next Yakfinities Customizing Challenge!
Every vote counts, so if you’re registered in the forums be sure to take a moment to make your voice heard by clicking here!
Also as a reminder, the current theme is still live until September 30, so there is still plenty of time to submit a custom entry for your chance to win some free figures!
Forum member combatJedi reports finding the new exclusive Droid Attack on the Coronet Battle Pack at a Toys”R”Us just yesterday – so might be a good idea to swing on by your local store to see if they have this in stock yet ($24.99). Hopefully this set goes over well and gets Hasbro to make a new OT Probe Droid set as well (who doesn’t want that anyway?)!
Note – some of the latest Clone Wars figures have been sighted at Toys”R”Us this week as well via pallet displays in front of the Star Wars promo sections at the front of the store (Savage Opress, Seripas, Saesee Tiin)… as always, your mileage may vary.
