Reports are coming in that the latest wave of Clone Wars figures are hitting at Wal-Mart, and today these were found in St. Louis. For a closer look at the Aqua Droid, click here.
Note – these were not found in the regular Star Wars section, but in display shippers in a different part of the toy department. Hopefully Hasbro has a similar shipper setup coming soon for The Vintage Collection, because right now it seems like we’re seeing the same trend from the past couple years playing out with retailers constantly getting a lot more of the Clone Wars and Legends figures to the pegs than the collector-oriented line.
Sideshow Collectibles has sent out notifications that orders for the 12″ Clone Sergeant – Phase I Trooper will be processed this Friday (March 11). So be sure those credit cards are prepped.
Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have reported that Vintage Collection Wave 6 has hit Wal-Mart in the New Jersey area. For those keeping score, that is 22 figures (not counting packaging variants) in a few short weeks and depending on pricing in your area, that equates to over$200.00!
Carded images have surfaced today for the Vintage Collection’s wave 7 that includes Has Solo (Bespin Outfit), Barriss Offee (Jedi Padawan), Rebel Fleet Trooper, Bom Vimdin, ARC Trooper Commander (aka Fordo), and Logray (Ewok Medicine Man). Head to our forums for a quick look.
You can also head over to Rebelscum for some nice, new loose images of this wave as well.

StarWars.com updated today with a teaser of the packaging redesign coming 2012! Head over to check it out. We’re curious as to what collectors think of the change – be sure to share your thoughts in the forums.

Our friends at Rebelscum have posted an image of a previously unknown major running change/variant out there for the AOTC wave Senate Guard. As you can see, the file photo has been updated to show a scene from Episode II (albeit horizontally flipped) replacing the composite photo used initially. I guess that means that the original one will be all that much harder to find.
It’s that time of year again! The annual American International Toy Fair kicks off tomorrow and we’ll be on the floor to provide you the latest news from many of the Star Wars license holders so watch for updates here and on facebook. Surprisingly, there have been relatively few product leaks so hopefully that bodes well for this being a great show!
This year we’ve revamped our photo galleries with a new interface so you be able to view all of the photos more easily. You can also go back and review our coverage of Toy Fair 2010, SDCC 2010 and Celebration V if you are so inclined.
A huge thanks to our very own Mark Minicuci for making the trek again this year to the big apple.
