ToyMan Collector Show
On Sunday, May 22 ToyMan Show returns in St. Louis! Vendor toys range from the latest Star Wars Clone Wars and Vintage figures to everyone’s classic favorites of GI Joe and Transformers from the glory days of the 1980s. DCSWCC Makes 2011 Charity Presentation
Baltimore MD, April 13th, 2011 – On behalf of the Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC), vice president Frank Klukosky along with treasurer Bob Martinazzi and Maryland regional director Jeff Schock presented a check for $5000 to the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation (BIT).
The presentation was made at Believe in Tomorrow’s Children’s House at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore MD. Accepting the check on behalf of BIT was CEO and founder Brian Morrison and house resident manager Kathy Frost. DCSWCC is one of the largest and most active Star Wars collecting clubs in America, with over 65 members. Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Support “We are JEDI” Project
Star Wars fans in Japan have started a relief effort called “We are JEDI ” in response to the earthquake and tsunami that has irrevocably changed their country. You can contribute to their project by ordering a Limited Edition, Lucasfilm-approved T-shirt (end of April) here as well as read a message from Steve Sansweet.
R2-D2 Heads Back to School
It seems like R2-D2 needed to take a few refresher courses again this year. As you may recall, R2-D2 made an appearance at Carleton’s Goodsell Observatory in Minnesota last year. Now it looks like Case Western Reserve University in Ohio is R2’s campus of choice. Head to our forum for a closer look.

Steve Sansweet Back at LFL? Sort of.
Even though Steve Sansweet has moved on from his role as Lucasfilm’s Fan Ambassador, he has not severed all ties with Lucas & Co. As Steve posted today via Facebook, he will remain as a consultant for Lucasfilm with the title of Fan Relations Advisor.

There have been some rumblings “on the internets” that there is an impending announcement (within the next 2 months) regarding Celebration 6 and its location which is touted to be a real “surprise”.
I don’t care where it is as long as it’s not Florida in August again.
