This week on Star Wars Action News, Marjorie and Arnie are joined in the studio by Johnathan, forum name RancorBoy, a long time Star Wars collector who has come to aid in the packing of the Sithsonian, and also to aid in Arnie’s quest for a complete modern carded figure collection. Listen as Johnathan shares his thoughts on the state of collecting, and exactly how close Arnie is to the dream of a carded collection.

Episode 300: Cracks in the Dam?

This week Star Wars Action News releases its 300th regular episode (not even counting all the breaking news episodes, Book Club episodes, and episodes of Republic Forces Radio Network)! And it’s got some good news, it seems from coast to coast, and even abroad, reports are coming in of new Wave 6 and 7 Vintage Collection figures being found! Listen as Marjorie and Arnie run down where these figures are being spotted, play listener store reports, and even address distribution again with Hasbro in Hasbro’s latest Q&A!

Also this week, Nathan gives his third segment looking back at the collector-loved line of Action Figure 2-Packs, and Jerry has a vintage viewpoint tying into Gentle Giant’s recent announcement of the Jumbo R2-D2 figure.

Episode 292 – Paul S. Kemp has us Deceived

At San Diego Comic Con the past couple years, and Star Wars Celebration 5, the trailer for Knights of The Old Republic called “Deceived”, showing a group of Sith and a Mando sacking the Jedi Temple have had Star Wars fans drooling. While that trailer is actually not part of the game, fan response was so high that there had to be more given to that story, and now we have it — Paul S. Kemp’s Old Republic video game tie-in novel Deceived, which tells of that attack and its aftermath. On this week’s Star Wars Action News, Paul talks to Arnie about the writing of the novel, and its themes of attachment and the Jedi code.
