Our friends at Rebelscum have posted an image of a previously unknown major running change/variant out there for the AOTC wave Senate Guard. As you can see, the file photo has been updated to show a scene from Episode II (albeit horizontally flipped) replacing the composite photo used initially. I guess that means that the original one will be all that much harder to find.
Countdown to Toy Fair 2011
It’s that time of year again! The annual American International Toy Fair kicks off tomorrow and we’ll be on the floor to provide you the latest news from many of the Star Wars license holders so watch for updates here and on facebook. Surprisingly, there have been relatively few product leaks so hopefully that bodes well for this being a great show!
This year we’ve revamped our photo galleries with a new interface so you be able to view all of the photos more easily. You can also go back and review our coverage of Toy Fair 2010, SDCC 2010 and Celebration V if you are so inclined.
A huge thanks to our very own Mark Minicuci for making the trek again this year to the big apple.

VC33 Padmé Amidala (Peasant Disguise)
The Yakface Toyguide updates continue today with the addition of Padmé Amidala (Peasant Disguise) from the Vintage Collection’s Attack of the Clones wave.
PROS: Another Amidala outfit is crossed off the want-list! Excellent sculpt and ornate paint apps – especially on the main body. The interchangeable headdresses are a nice touch as is the removable soft goods. Inclusion of the blaster, though superfluous, is a nice bonus too.
CONS: Color of the outfit looks a bit off as this looks more “butterscotch” than “mustard” – hardly worth passing over for this assessment though.

VC32: Anakin Skywalker (Peasant Disguise)
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Anakin Skywalker (Peasant Disguise) from the Vintage Collection’s Attack of the Clones wave.
PROS: Throw your 2002 version in the dumpster, ’cause this one is definitely the best (and last) version you’ll ever need. Great fabric and tailoring for the poncho.
CONS: Hair color seems to be a bit dark – a light “highlight” wash would remedy that though.

VC31 Obi-Wan Kenobi
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Vintage Collection’s Attack of the Clones wave.
PROS: Hasbro took the awesome 2009/2010 Legacy Collection sculpt and improved the deco, gave him a Jedi robe and corrected the paint deco to the lightsaber hilt.
CONS: Still, no extra lightsaber hilt to attach to his belt.
