VC16 Obi-Wan Kenobi

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with addition of Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Vintage Collection.

PROS: Although we’ve been inundated with this figure sculpt for 5 years, it is still a solid mold without being overtly outdated. Nice likeness and well accessorized.

CONS: A better figure is available in the 2010 Saga Legends line for $1 cheaper. The knee joints suffer from “ostrich syndrome” and the ankles are distracting with the contrasting joint inserts.

Clone Wars Nikto Guard (TRU Exclusive)

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Toys”R”Us exclusive Nikto Guard from the Clone Wars Collection.

PROS: Finally, we’ve received the figure that was originally intended to be included with the Clone Wars Jabba’a Palace Battle Pack from 2008. A great looking figure all around and well accessorized.

CONS: Lack of articulation in the legs limits poses available and the pre-posed leg positioning tends to make this figure unstable. A rather generic figure for an exclusive and the $10+ pricepoint might hamper this figure’s sell-through at retail.
