Toyguide Update: Sideshow 12″ Sandtrooper Desert Sands Detachment

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the 1:6 Scale Sandtrooper – Desert Sands Detachment from Sideshow Collectibles.

PROS: Sideshow releases what may be my favorite item thus far in their “Militaries” line. Accuracy and attention to detail in this piece are equal to none. The improved deco and weathering adds to the authenticity and realism. The included accessories and weaponry make nearly infinite configurations for display. Works well with the Hasbro produced Dewback from 2000.

CONS: Price maybe prohibitive for some collectors. Once you have one, you’ll want the previous sandtrooper releases if you don’t already have them in your collection.

Now Kemp is back with the sequel novel Riptide, and back on Star Wars Action News to talk about the development of the novel, it’s themes of identity and nature versus nurture, and where the story of Jaden Korr might lead.
