Yakfinities #42 Roundup Report

Another Yakfinities Customizing Challenge has just wrapped up!  And thanks to the continued participation by the customizing community, we once again we have full gallery of custom figures for your viewing pleasure!

The current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge runs through December 31, and this unique theme allows for a variety of different takes on characters from the Star Wars galaxy.

During these slow days for new product on the pegs, one of the best ways to add figures to your collection is to make your own – and today we spotlight some of the finest work in the Yakface forums!

Phase 2 Clones Like They Oughta Be

Ever since Hasbro released photos of the VC #15 Clone, I was afraid it would bomb at retail because of the ginormous helmet, and bulky body sculpt.   A bad situation was made worse when most of the figures ended up with lemon-yellow helmets before they even made it to the pegs. 

Being very frustrated with this for over a year now, I finally rolled up my sleeves and found a very simple way to make a much better Phase II Clone Trooper.  Not only is it one of the easiest custom modifications I’ve ever seen, it’s also one of the most effective.

This change literally only takes a few minutes.  So check out how to do this for yourself and finally have the Phase II Clone Trooper that Hasbro should have made after the jump!
