Ever since it was revealed that the SDCC Exclusive Death Star Set was to include a black variant of the Rebel Commando, collectors have wonder if that version was going to be available at retail. Our friends at Jedi Temple Archives have received photographic evidence confirming it will indeed be shipping in revision cases.
Sideshow has released their latest newsletter today and announced that the Exclusive Boba Fett 12″ figure has been given a production run of 2000 pieces. If you missed your chance to Pre-Order the Exclusive, fear not, you can still secure the regular edition!
After making a revision to the accepted UPC requirements last week, Hasbro is now only accepting the actual packed-in mailaway redemption form for the Mailaway Prototype Fett as evidenced by the nifty new watermark the form now bears on Hasbro.com.

Entertainment Earth has updated today with the reveal of their exclusive Leia in Boushh Disguise Animated Maquette from Gentle Giant. Limited to just 1000 pieces, it is available for pre-order today for $79.99 and will start shipping in February 2012.
Hasbro has made available the Redemption Form for the exclusive Prototype Armor Boba Fett (VC61) online!. Any 5 Star Wars action figure collection UPCs will qualify for this offer. Head to Hasbro.com for the complete details and let’s hope the figures show up on doorsteps in better condition than the previous Mailaway Fett did.
UPDATE: Hasbro must have realized their mistake regarding the UPCs for the Prototype Fett as the website and form now specify the qualifying asst. accepted.
Collect and save the UPC codes of any 5 figures from these Star Wars action figure collections: Vintage (97568 Asst.), Saga Legends (21115 Asst.) or The Clone Wars (94736 Asst.)
So to further clarify, the valid UPCs are from the current Vintage, Saga Legends and Clone Wars collections shipping to stores.
No word yet if orders will be honored for those that already sent in their forms with now non-qualifying UPC.
Forum member combatJedi reports finding the new exclusive Droid Attack on the Coronet Battle Pack at a Toys”R”Us just yesterday – so might be a good idea to swing on by your local store to see if they have this in stock yet ($24.99). Hopefully this set goes over well and gets Hasbro to make a new OT Probe Droid set as well (who doesn’t want that anyway?)!
Note – some of the latest Clone Wars figures have been sighted at Toys”R”Us this week as well via pallet displays in front of the Star Wars promo sections at the front of the store (Savage Opress, Seripas, Saesee Tiin)… as always, your mileage may vary.
