You thought that cockpit was impressive? Hot Toys has teased a complete 1:6 scale Millennium Falcon on their Facebook page. I wouldn’t expect it to ever be attainable by anyone except for those with the deepest pockets, but it will be on display at the Ani-Con this week in Hong Kong.
The Realm Recap is back after the Memorial Day Weekend bring and in our absence, there were plenty of developments in collecting. Collectors success at retail has started to improve as more folks are finding Black Series figures (in both scales) at their local stores. eBay caused a bit of a frenzy this week as a notorious seller posted the first auction for a collectible from The Force Awakens — a 6″ First Order Stormtrooper which closed at a ridiculous price. Is it legit??? Also this week, new store finds from LEGO, product news for Disney Infinity 3.0, custom 6″ figures and vehicles as well as a new character name revealed fro The Force Awakens! It’s all on Episode 63 of The Realm Recap!
USA Today has announced today the return of Star Wars Reads Day – Oct. 10, 2015. Over the next few days we will be upgrading our site to a larger, more stable server so there may be brief periods of downtime. Our hope is that the transition is seamless and content should flow uninterrupted. As always, we will continue to provide content and interaction via our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Twitter follower Darren Hayes shares this image he snapped at his local theatre of the first one sheet/poster for The Force Awakens – not surprising since the trailer will be attached to The Avengers: Age of Ultron this weekend.
Does your theater have the TFA poster up yet? Send us your images via email, Twitter or Facebook with the tag #TFAposter
Jedi Temple Archives has called our attention to an image of an as-of-yet unannounced (but rumored) TRU Exclusive Jabba’s Rancor Pit set posted on Facebook. The set looks to include several repacked figures, but that Jabba in there is drawing attention as it looks to be new. Stay tuned for more details as they arise.
In what will surely provide great joy and additional grist for the mill to a certain segment of collectors, there is word from Andrew’s Toyz via Facebook that Hasbro has discontinued current cases assortments for the Saga Legends/Rebels line.
Hasbro has discontinued the current Saga Legends figure assortments and will not be making additional shipments. We may receive some cases of Wave 7, but we are not sure at this time. While unconfirmed, this is likely to devote resources towards The Force Awakens product line.
We have reached out to Hasbro via Hunter PR for any comment.
UPDATE: We have clarification from our sponsor at DorksideToys, the current cases assortments are sold out (not canceled) and won’t see another production run.
