Our friends at BanthaSkull.com are reporting the discovery of Clone Wars midsize vehicle 2-packs that are being sold as “Special Value Offers” at Toys”R”Us. Head on over for the full details.
Be on the lookout for the illusive Mandalorian Assault Transport as it has turned up in these value sets as well.
Bring on the Barge! We have partnered with several other fan sites to solicit support for a 3-3/4″ scale Jabba’s Sail Barge Vehicle/Playset. Hasbro has shown interest in building such a vehicle but we need to let them know WE WANT IT by gathering as many signatures as possible and presenting them to the Star Wars brand team at Toy Fair. Head on over to show your support by signing the petition and we thank all of our colleagues for working together in this collaborative effort.
Update: Disregard the prompt to donate after signing the petition, donation is not required for it to count in the tally.
K & C Collectibles has added older Clone Wars (2003), Saga Collection (2002, 2003, 2004) and Episode 2 action figures. Commander Fox and Wolffe are back in-stock.
Our friends at Galactic Hunter have posted via Facebook that the exclusive Vintage Millennium Falcon is currently hitting store shelves as evidenced by the above photo taken in Chandler, AZ. Just a reminder, there is NOTHING new for this vehicle – the deco and the included figures (Han and Chewie) are the same as the prior release. But, if you’re a packaging variant collector or just a TVC collector this is for you.
Remember, ask a store associate to help you get high items off the shelf and have them help you lift your wallet while they’re at it as this will set you back an extra $100 from 2008.
We’ve all wondered why Toys”R”Us has had the ridiculous price of $179.99 (and as high as $208.99) on the MTT while other stores have had it in the $130 range. Some have even speculated that it was because it was going on sale in the future and this was to offset the future sale price. Today we can confirm that is the case as Toys”R”Us Big Toy Book will feature a coupon for $50 off. The coupon goes into effect on 10/28 and valid until 11/21. What a joke.
I ventured out this morning to my local Fleet Farm to check out their annual Toyland kick off and while I didn’t find anything “new” per se, I did see a nice selection of Deluxe/Class I vehicles, Clone Wars (Wave 2), Movie Heroes (Wave 2) and TVC figures (Wave 4, Rev 1.). Click the images above for some quick snapshots of the aisle.
For collectors in the Midwest, Mills Fleet Farm’s Annual Toyland opens tomorrow at 7am. While their selection of Star Wars merchandise tends to be limited, there are opportunities to find some deals on basic figures, Deluxe/Class I vehicles and Playskool items. Click on through for the Star Wars items featured in this year’s catalog and visit fleetfarm.com to check out their entire catalog.
Our friends at JediDefender are reporting that some older Vintage Collection figures like Dagobah Landing Luke, AT-RT Driver and the Clone Trooper (AOTC) are turning up at 5 Below stores. Time to hit up your local store if you have one.
