As fans count down the days until the long-awaited seventh episode of the Star Wars saga, they’ll have something else to look forward to as the first six will be released as commemorative Blu-ray steelbooks for a limited time on November 10, with pre-orders beginning on August 7. Each film comes with beautiful new character packaging that include Darth Maul for The Phantom Menace, Yoda for Attack of the Clones, General Grievous forRevenge of the Sith, Darth Vader for A New Hope, an Imperial stormtrooper for TheEmpire Strikes Back, and Emperor Palpatine for Return of the Jedi. The shroud of “The Disney Side” is slowly, but surely, being lifted on the plans for Force Friday. This week, Flyguy and I discuss some of the images, product lists and unwitting retail employees leaking out info ahead of September’s big reveal. Speaking of big, Hot Toys revealed the ultimate 1:6 item – the Millennium Falcon display recently in Hong Kong. We’re sure you’ve seen or at least heard of the recent controversy surrounding some racy images published by GQ Magazine involving a couple Star Wars characters. We won’t be publishing the images or the links here due to the varied ages of our readership, but Lucasfilm has issued the following statement.
It’s not surprising that GQ would want to capitalize on the cultural cachet of Star Wars, but Lucasfilm and Disney did not authorize, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.

Disney and Lucasfilm today have officially announced the Han Solo Anthology film. Directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (The Lego Movie) and screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan. Head to the official site for details and look for Han Solo Anthology in theatre May 25, 2018.
EW.com has posted that fans expecting to see new trailer or even new footage at SDCC from The Force Awakens will be disappointed as there will be none shown. Head on over to EW.com for what you can expect.
Many collectors out there (including myself) have been looking for an economical way to acquire the one-sheet poster for Star Wars The Force Awakens. Finally, a solution has presented itself via an email Disney Movies Anywhere. If you are a member, and have at least 500 points, you can redeem them for the official two-sided teaser poster. Points can be acquired through the purchase of Disney movies (physical or digital).
