The June 5th rumor of there being a Gaming Greats release of Jango Fett (Bounty Hunter) for the Black Series line has been confirmed thanks to new images released by Hasbro and passed on to us via Instagram follower figurebrian.
Another bit of TVC news today and a follow up to our Tuesday Rumor Report, I can publish EIGHT more new TVC figure listings which I found via the Walmart app: “Superior”, “Europe”, “Australia”, “America”, “Labrador”, “Quebec”, “Nova Scotia” and “New Brunswick”. No indication as to what characters they might represent or exclusivity. More info to come as it can be divulged. Products have been added to our expanding 2020/2021 Master List of products.
This morning we found evidence via overseas shipping info for an upcoming Convention Exclusive Black Series Cad Bane from The Clone Wars. The item is listed as “E96345L00 12 PCS SW BL CONVENTION EXCL CA D BANE STAR WARS”. This item should be available through Hasbro Pulse at a later date. Watch for an official announcement soon.
Today we can fill in a couple mystery placeholders in our Master List of rumored figures as new listinsg for 4 new 6″ Black Series figure have been uncovered thanks to the Walmart app: Ahsoka (S7), Ahsoka Loyalist Trooper, Nite Owl Mandalorian and the Mauldolor Trooper. Thanks again to WalmartGhost for the assistance.
Word is that Hasbro will be officially announcing/launching several new preorders tomorrow for the Black Series line and, if my count is accurate, it could be more than a dozen products. Hasbro Pulse did mention a few weeks ago via a comment on Instagram that the wave with The Mandalorian in Beskar Armor would be available for order on May 28. One could assume that the entire wave will be available (and then some).
The question is, will there be any major surprises? I can think of one and it’s long overdue.
As a follow up to a tease I posted on Instagram back in March, I have now found an accessible link via the Walmart app to a listing for a new Vintage Collection playset to be revealed and released this year. It is not exclusive to Walmart (thank God) and isn’t a reissue of the POTF2 version. It is suspected to be the long-rumored Carbon Freezing Chamber playset from The Empire Strikes Back. Still no word as to how many (if any) figures it will include.
Update: It may include a single Stormtrooper and have electronics.
Last week I posted word of a handful of potential exclusives coming from Hasbro in late 2020. Today I can publish 10 hints to aid in your speculation.
For this group of 5 exclusives: None are clone characters None are Jedi/or former Jedi characters None are members of The Ghost crew characters None are PT characters None are OT characters None are ST characters One item is TVC One figure is an alien One is a vehicle Two items have never been released by Hasbro before All five are related by their source material
As I mentioned in the previous report, it will be interesting to see how these are distributed due to the cancellation/closure of large venues.
While I can’t go into specifics yet, it looks like there will be a few more exclusives revealed soon for the Black Series and TVC lines. Of the 5 I’ve confirmed, they are all reissues/repaints – *one of which has been long requested – and there are possibly 2 more that may fit in well with a certain anniversary line of product out right now*. That all being said, it will be interesting to see how they are distributed considering the closure of large venues right now.
More details as we can provide them.
UPDATE: *Han in Carbonite and **this was 4-LOM and Zuckuss
Armed with a dozen codes, I swung by my local Target and scanned a few using the convenient price scanners in the aisle. I got a hit on the bar code for the rumored Deluxe (D4) 6″ Black Series Dagobah Luke with Yoda set.
We’ve known for some time that the Dagobah Luke in this set is the one that will be in the third wave of 6″ 40th Anniversary Collection Black Series figures but a little bogwing told me that the Yoda in this set is different than prior releases.
No official word (or otherwise) on the release date for this set but the price in the U.S. is listed at $44.99. The DPCI has been added to our expanding Master UPC/DPCI/SKU List for quick reference.
PERIODICALLY I reference new and upcoming products with an ELEMENT of wordplay. For this next rumor, I can say there have been FOUR of these officially released PLUS TWO more recently rumored. Over the weekend I learned of a third, but before you get GREEN with envy over not finding these in stores, there may be a SILVER lining to this BLACK cloud of potential frustration in terms of accessibility. Sometimes, repaints are good but in these cases they are ALL BAD.
