Some interesting new rumors have developed tonight via a new list that was published but Jedi Insider. With that info in hand I took a crack finding info for these figures and low and behold I found corroboration for some of those plus others. In all, there are 15 new Black Series figure listings from The Clone Wars, Rogue One, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian for your review. Click on through for the “proof” courtesy of Walmart’s app.
Update: The page of figures listed at JediInsider has been removed.
Hasbro has released images for the previously rumored Hoth Ice Planet Adventure Game and it confirms that it includes a new Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Pilot) figure! Click on through for the images.
It appears that the popularity of the Carbonized figures from the Black Series prompted their return in 2020. Some research has uncovered info for a Carbonized Boba Fett as well as a Stormtrooper. This was also reiterated to us via an unsolicited Tweet from follower Niall Davids. His tweet also mentioned the possibility of a 6″ scale Snowspeeder with Dak? Now that is interesting….
This coming weekend, Hasbro will be having their annual off-site presentation for Toy Fair 2020 in New York. Things have been quiet on the rumor front for the Vintage Collection for a while but hopefully we get official confirmations of some past and newly rumored items for the line. Recently, a Nebraska specialty retailer leaked word of possible update to the previous Amazon exclusive TVC Slave I, there’s also the long-standing rumor of a certain Bespin playset in the cards for 2020. A little Bothan told me that we may even see the reveal of 6 “new” TVC figures that represent characters from The Clone Wars, Rogue One, A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. These rumored figures are a mix of all new sculpts, repaints as well as repacks of recently released figures.
I few days ago I reported on a possible new scale of Star Wars figures and vehicles coming from Hasbro this year. Today I can found info for ANOTHER type of Star Wars product coded as PROJECT OLYMPUS which goes in the opposite direction than the first rumor and is listed as being 9.5″ scale. I have no clue as to what this may be so maybe we’ll all find out together at NY Toy Fair next month (if not sooner).
Update: It has been determined that this is another budget line of action figures similar to what Hasbro has done for Marvel. They are essentially smaller Hero Series figures with less articulation. An image has been added in the comments. Thanks to TatooineSandworm for the additional intel.
As we close out another year of rumors for 2019, I thought I’d leave one more reveal breaking down (all?) the figures planned for the 40th Anniversary Collection of 6″ Black Series figures. Click on through for the list of 12 13.
Last month, packaging illustrations for several unannounced Black Series figures accidentally popped up online and have slowly been officially announced (Jedi Knight Revan and the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian for example). Yesterday, I managed to find a listing for a new 6″ Black Series Deluxe figure and all signs point to it being another one of those leaked characters: The Imperial Probe Droid. While many of us have been hoping that Zeb Orrelios would be the next deluxe figure, the timing is right for the Probe Droid as it will be released for the 40th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back.
It been a bit since we’ve heard about anything new for the Retro Collection. Hasbro has stated that it was very successful and more product is planned for 2020. Some sleuthing has uncovered word that there is a new/old Hoth Ice Planet Adventure Game coming soon. No word yet as to what figure it may (or may not) include.
Also revealed yesterday at Manga Barcelona was the Vintage Collection Remnant Stormtrooper from The Mandalorian. This figure utilizes the excellent Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper sculpt and features a weathered deco.
If our info is correct, this Trooper is the figure codenamed “DUCK” in our Master List of UPCs/SKUs. Interestingly, that would also support our theory that the upcoming TVC “DUCKBOAT” vehicle is directly related to this figure and is may be a new Troop Transport which would be quite awesome considering Jon Favreau’s affinity for designs and concepts from the Original Trilogy and EU/Legends.
