David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are going from Winterfell to a galaxy far, far away.
It was announced today that Benioff and Weiss, creators of the smash-hit, Emmy Award-winning television series Game of Thrones, will write and produce a new series of Star Wars films.
These new films will be separate from both the episodic Skywalker saga and the recently-announced trilogy being developed by Rian Johnson, writer-director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
It appears that the 40th Anniversary Darth Vader that is reissued for the standard Black Series release (#43) is more than just a simple repack. The paint operations on the helmet have been updated significantly in order to achieve an even better likeness to the screen-used helmet by adding more silver to the neck seal portion. Funko has revealed two of their Star Wars exclusives for D23 next month that will be offered at Disney Stores. The Dorbz* Hoth Han Solo with Tauntaun and Cantina Dorbz 3-pk. featuring Vintage-deco Greedo, Walrusman and Snaggletooth.
*These figures mark the first additions to the Dorbz line for the Star Wars license.
Instagram userĀ StarZoneToys has posted an image of the filming crew shirt for the Han Solo standalone film. Titled simply “Solo”, the logo treatment features Han’s signature DL-44 blaster in place of the “L” and a tagline of “We Shot First” on the back.
