Update Rumor Report: Move Over Photo Real – Here Comes HyperReal

Hasbro will soon be officially announcing a new segment of Black Series figures called “HyperReal” – rumor has it that these figures are even more articulated than the current Black Series line and they are a larger scale. For further evidence supporting the rumor of this line, we’ve had in our in our Master List of UPCs/SKUs a item called Darth Vader (E4) Action Figure with a $49.99 $79.99 price point. Today, Brickseek updated that listing to include the Hyperreal reference and you can see it on Walmart.com shown as “SW E4 BL HYPERREAL DARTH VADER”. The dimensions of the packaging also allude to a larger scale than the current 6″ Black Series line.

More as it develops and watch for an official announcement at Toy Fair.

Update: I cross referenced the wrong price point. They will be closer to $80

Solo: A Star Wars Story Product Launching April 13

In case you haven’t been lucky enough to already find Solo merchandise leaking out early in stores and online, your wait just got a little bit shorter. You’ve probably seen images of product cases marked with “STOP! Do not put on shelf before: April 13th, 2018” which seemed to conflict with prior reports of April 20 as the official start of  “Wookiee Weekend”. I’ve been told by two sources at two different major retailers, that April 13 is now the launch date so you can shift your previously scheduled time off requests a week ahead.
