Are these the droids you’re looking for?
If you’re looking forward to purchasing the Toys”R”us exclusive TBS6 droids 3-pk, they are showing up in Canada now and should be popping up in the United States soon (if not already). The Canada retail price will set you back a whopping $89.99.
Thanks to Yakface reader Mike F. for the report.
Battle Action Millennium Falcon Clearance Find
Twitter follower @sacoach informs us of his great Target find today:
Score! Millennium Falcon was marked 50% off at Target, $59.98, but instead rang up for $30!
Nice find!
Wal-Mart Rollbacks
Wal-Mart stores in the St. Louis area are beginning to roll back basic figure prices on TFA merchandise… we’ve even had a report of the Spin Master Yoda for as low as $20 in Colorado.
Let us know what sort of markdowns (or lack thereof) you are finding after the jump!
TFA Clearances Getting Almost Ridiculous
While Hasbro may consider their TFA lineup a success, it’s hard to believe that most retailers are quite as pleased given the mass quantities of product collecting dust and getting marked down by ridiculous margins… many of Hasbro’s lines have been marked down significantly at places like Walmart. The same can be said for the goofy Spin Masters gimmick toys.
Personal Note: As for basic 3.75″ figures, we all know what most of us are experiencing. Empty pegs or the obvious pegwarmers hanging around. Wasted toy runs over and over. Will Hasbro get their act together for the upcoming films and actually produce better offerings in the basic figure lines instead of focusing on all the destined to be doomed gimmick lines? How much patience can retailers have with such weak product lines? What happened to the company that once took pride in the Star Wars brand? Why can’t they get product the product they make that IS in demand onto the shelves? Share your thoughts in the forums.
Above Walmart clearance photo credit goes to darthapathy via our forums. Expect to see many more reports of immense markdowns this summer, folks!
Nien Nunb Wave hits STL
Few people have seen the Unkar Plutt or Admiral Ackbar wave… Han Solo is nearly impossible to find… and now Hasbro’s distribution inconsistencies continue, as the Nien Nunb wave (including mask-less Kylo Ren) has show up at a Wal-Mart in the St. Louis area (thank you Scott for the report).
Who else has seen these and newer Hasbro figures at retail? Let us know how those toy runs are going after the jump!
Snap Wexley Variation
Variations aren’t something that I typically find all that interesting, but I ran into one today that I hadn’t heard of before and was suckered into buying it because I thought it looked cool – a Snap Wexley with a white visor rather than yellow.
Anyone else come across this? A closer pic is available in our forums.
The Better Side of 5POA
For those of you active in our forums, you are probably aware that I am not a fan of 5POA figures. I could be, if Hasbro tweaked the assembly of them a bit… (customizers, you probably know what I’m referring to).
However, Hasbro’s latest TFA offerings are starting to show some improvement over much of what they’ve been pushing the past few years in this style – head on over to the forums for a quick look (and mini-review) at Sidon Ithano, First Mate Quiggold, Unkar Plutt, and Admiral Ackbar!
Product Getting Tagged with #wheresrey Stickers?
Here is an interesting, if not hilarious, store find. Local collector Phil G. sends in a couple photos from an area Target store (Quarry) that has figures affixed with a custom “No Rey” sticker in the style of the Free Boba Fett sticker from the Vintage Kenner era. This sticker reads:
NO REY
No matter how many figures you purchase

UPDATE: here is a link to someone on Twitter claiming responsibility.

Deep Discounts on Jakks Big Figs
Facebook follower Ricky Resurreccion writes in with his current store find of clearance Jakks figures:
Hi there, you may want to pass this news along. Been working some SF Bay Area Walmarts and they have the 48″ Jakks Vader and FO Stormtrooper on clearance for $21. I suggest peeps scan the barcodes even if they have their retail prices stuck on it. I had my stores ring up $21 for the 48″s. And the Jakks plain-vanilla R2-D2 are not advertised as on clearance but believe me, they are. Usually sells for $50, they are on sale for $13. At these prices, I grabbed a couple for my boys.
Nice finds Ricky!
