Target’s erroneous register block of wave 1 of the 6″ Black Series 40th Anniversary Collection has been corrected internally and is now set for an April 27 street date. As of yesterday, they were still being denied for sale with a street date of August 1. A local collector (AgentWaWa) attempted to purchase them this morning and was notified of the updated street date. Hang in there if you’ve seen these at retail and have been unable to purchase them, release is imminent.
On a related note, Target preorders are also starting to process.
A follow up report from @staleconversations on Instagram lets us know that the PhotoReal/Repaint wave of Vintage Collection has turned up at Target in Virginia. Sadly, he suggests that C-3PO may be the best of the bunch due to questionable application of deco on the human figures. Click on through to check out additional images of this wave.
Check your local Targets for restocks of the highly sought after (and scalped) exclusive 6″ Black Series Carbonized Mandalorian. My local store (Maple Grove, MN) replenished with 3 cases over night. Helmet nod to a couple collectors I got the chance to speak with this morning as well.
For those holding out on clearance for the Target Exclusive TVC Cave of Evil 3pk, keep an eye out at your local stores as some locations have them marked down as low as $11.98. I picked up a few this morning at my local Fridley, MN store. Your mileage may vary of course.
Funko has official revealed a slew of new POP! figures from The Mandalorian. The sculpt for each figure continue to improve with each subsequent wave and the character selection is spot on as well. Click on through to check them out.
This Saturday, December 7, Target will be hosting a special Star Wars product demo from 10am-1pm for Hasbro’s Scream Saber and Ultimate D-0. There will also be Funko buttons, Star Wars themed cookies, and for parents, a survey that once completed will result in the issuing of a $5 Target gift card. Kids will also be able to participate in opening the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and take home the mini build inside.
Armed with the UPC for the recently revealed/leaked “The Child” plush from The Mandalorian, I found the related DPCI and TCIN info for it via Target’s handy aisle price scanner. I was also able to learn that this has a date of March 1 listed in Target’s system. UPC, DPCI, TCIN and Walmart SKUs have all been added to our 2019/2020 Master List (listed in the Mattel section).
Starting Sunday, Dec. 1, Target will be offering buy 2, get 1 free on all Disney Star Wars, Marvel, Frozen and Toy Story Toys. (Excludes LEGO, probably).
Just a quick note that Target’s current 25% off one toy coupon expires after Saturday, November 23. Text TOY to TARGET (827438) for the offer.
If you come across Target’s new Cave of Evil Special Action Figure set, you can save $10 with the coupon. Be mindful that if you’ve already used this particular offer though (it began on October 27), you might run into a “coupon already redeemed” alert at the register.
