An interesting image has surfaced via social media of a potential 6″ Black Series Stormtrooper that features battle damage and some pretty cool pack-in explosion/blast effects and a long-requested figure base/stand. No details on its availability but this looks to be something that Amazon might carry.
Thanks to @Sompeetalay on Twitter for the heads-up.

*Note: You won’t find the Walmart Exclusive 6″ Black Series Mimban Stormtrooper in this display.
Twitter follower Shatterstar_03 send word that he found the Exclusive 6″ Black Series Clone Commander Wolffe at EBGames in Toronto Canada. These should start hitting GameStop, B&N and Disney Store relatively soon.
Topps has released a new trading card for their countdown to Solo: A Star Wars Story campaign, and I noticed that Beckett crew member, Val, is dressed as a mudtrooper on Mimban. Could this be how we are getting the much clamored for “mudtrooper” in the 6″ Black Series line we posted a couple weeks ago? I would not be surprised.
You may recall our report from a couple weeks ago where are some new 6” Black Series figures were found via a Brickseek. We now know what wave(s) to expect them in thanks to a tip from reader Benjamin I. Wave 19 looks to include Val (Mimban), the Imperial Patrol Trooper and L3-37 and Wave 20 should include Dengar, Lando (Skiff Guard Disguise) and Princess Leia (Hoth). Carry-forwards/repacks for these two cases are unknown at this time, but we will update as soon as we know.
As many of our fellow collectors have experienced, retailers seem to be on their own schedule (feels like a store-by-store basis) on getting new product onto the pegs for Hasbro’s latest lineup of Star Wars merchandise.
So if you haven’t seen many signs of new stock yet, it might just mean the stores you are hitting just haven’t made it a priority yet. I’ve seen this slow trickle in my neck of the woods, then yesterday found a Target that had finally set aside some time and shelf space to get new items out.
So, don’t give up too early – and share your finds too (or lack thereof) after the jump!
If you went out hunting for new Star Wars product on Friday, chances are you were pretty underwhelmed by what was on the pegs (i.e. lack thereof).
Personally, I found a few things I wanted after driving around a bit, but it was pretty sad to see just how little retailers seemed to care about having new product out for the April 13 street date (I could not find one single carded figure anywhere – I struggle with calling this as a “launch” at all).
If you did score some good stuff though, we’d love to hear about it and see pics in our forums.
