Today was a huge day for many collectors in search of the new 6″ Black Series Clone Wars figures at Target. We received and read dozens of reports of them being found up and down the coasts and through the midwest. Don’t pay scalper prices. Don’t believe stores that say they are discontinued or are not getting them. Network with your fellow collectors in order to help each other to complete your set.
Also, we’d like to thank those who sent kind words via social media and emails on how our reporting and information (particularly the DPCIs and availablility) helped you on your hunt for these figures.
One of the first acquisitions of the new 6″ Black Series Clone Wars figures has happened via Instagram follower EnchantedJedi. He was able to score Clone Pilot Hawk from a Target in Roswell, New Mexico. If you have collector friends in the area, now’s the time.
As we theorized back in April, I was able to confirm that the 4 Target Exclusive Black Series figures from The Clone Wars (Obi-Wan, Anakin, ARC Trooper Echo and Clone Pilot Hawk) are indeed a part of the Father’s Day promo and will be located in a special section in stores set to launch* on May 23. Other Star Wars items include clothing and POP!s.

Online retailer Zavvi has preorders available for the Target Exclusive Clone Wars figures. I plead ignorance on their reliabliity or shipping practices but if you’re desperate for an alternative they may be for you.

Gentle Giant has announced 3 new mini bust launching for preorder tomorrow. The Wrecker Web Exclusive 1:7 Scale Animated Mini Bust includes a swappable helmet and unhelmeted portrait while the standard edition of Wrecker only has the unmasked portrait. There is also a Bigg Darklighter 1:6 Scale Mini Bust that include swappable helmeted and unhelmeted portraits and swappable arms. Preorders open at 11am ET.
Instagram follower ToyingAround has shared a couple in-hand images of the upcoming Target Exclusive Black Series TCW Anakin Skywalker and Clone Pilot Hawk. ToyingAround will be doing a live unboxing of these figures in partnership with Hasbro and ToysRUs – the exclusive distributor for these in Canada – on May 4th at 7:30pm ET.

Like previous years, it looks like Target will have a special Fathers Day section that includes a few Star Wars items (toys, clothes, etc.) — 4 of which are Black Series figures with code names “APPLE“, “APRICOT” and “ACAI” (the 4th is currently unknown) and are priced at $24.99. These figures are planned for release starting as soon as Sunday, May 23 and may be the secondary code names for recently announced Black Series figures from The Clone Wars.

Heads up Canada Collectors: Black Series Clone Wars Figures will be available for preorder on May 4 at ToysRUs Canada. No time is given for the launch.
Logic would dictate that they will be available for preorder at Target in the U.S. on that day as well. No official word yet.
