The upcoming newpaper insert for Target has made its way online and it confirms rumors and speculation that select stores will be opening at 12:01 am September 1. A list of participating stores will be available soon at www.Target.com/starwars. Also returning for Force Friday are discount coupons, this time instead of an instant discount, they redeemable for gift cards when thresholds of $50 or $100 are met.
UPDATE: Target has updated their site. Click find stores on Target.com to see if a store near you is open (12:01-2am) for Force Friday II.
Toys”R”Us also has new 6.5″ plush figures from Comic Images for The Last Jedi including the Porg and Praetorian Guard. Click the image above to see the selection.
Toys”R”Us has listed (by mistake?) four POP! figures from Funko for The Last Jedi. Bobble your head on over to get a start on your Force Friday shopping with the Porg, Rose, Praetorian Guard and Kylo Ren.
There’s word that various retailers will be offering exclusive vehicles with figures that are compatible with the unique Force Link system. If you think back to the vehicle exclusives released for The Force Awakens, you would be right on the mark.
There are now loose images leaking online in various Facebook collecting groups of Wave 2 of the Black Series that will be available after Force Friday.
Twitter follower Seamus Gameus send word of finding the Force Link Starter Set with Exclusive Kylo Ren figure at his local Walmart in Canada. Click the image above for a closer look.
eBay listings for the first wave of new 6″ Black Series available on Force Friday confirm number designations for Luke (#46) and Thrawn (#47) and now reveal numbers for Vader (#43), Stormtrooper (#48). That leaves Rey at #44, Kylo Ren at #45, and we’ve known for while that Hera is #42.
Could there be another as yet to be leaked 6″ Black Series exclusive in the form of a two pack heading to Toys”R”Us for Force Friday. I don’t know. Maybe?
There are already two TLJ figures that feature packaging variants in the 3.75″ line. The first one, found over the weekend, switches the placement of the Porg and bowcaster accessories included with Chewbacca. The second is for General Hux which switches the position of the mouse droid (and turns it 90 degrees) and blaster. I know this info super serves a very small segment of collectors but as someone that likes to document these things, I thought I’d share it all the same.
Hey, if a major outlet like Yahoo can share a deleted video showing off officially unannounced products for Force Friday 2, it’s got to be okay, right?
UPDATE: Hasbro has blocked the commercial linked to in the article.
