Dan Emmons from StarWarsCollector.com has posted word of a packaging variant for the Walmart Exclusive 3.75″ Black Series Darth Vader figure. He notes that the position of the lightsaber has changed and black hang tags have been implemented as well. Head on over to check it out.

In the US, this item is exclusive to Kmart, but in Mexico, collectors will be able to score the 6″ Black Series Kylo Ren (Starkiller Base) figure at Walmart.

Upon my late night/early morning toy run, I stumbled across a case of the 6″ Black Series Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper (check out the full toyguide update and overview). You can watch the live video of my toy find through our Periscope channel.
The Yakface Toyguide updates continue with the addition of the Walmart Exclusive 6″ Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper from The Black Series.
PROS: The Shock Trooper is a solid, no-brainer offering from Hasbro. Having a cross-sell product for the game required little additional investment other than a new deco for the existing trooper and a new attractive box. The deco for the figure is well applied for the most part, but discerning collectors may want to pick and choose from the available figures at retail in order to obtain the best product sample.
CONS: It is early yet to offer any real cons on the figure itself (other than the slight leg bowing due to the packaging) but the relaying of information from the manufacturer and retailer to collectors that this was even going to be available was/is lacking. There seems to be a disconnect between all parties in knowing what is available (and when) to the consumer. With the planned marketing and product release push that Star Wars Battlefront received, you’d think that tie-in promotional product such as this would be better communicated and advertised to the public.

As a follow up to Walmart’s press release regarding the Exclusive 6″ Black Series Battlefront Shock Trooper, I was able to receive definitive confirmation that it WILL NOT be available as part of this weekend’s Epic Weekend event.

Looks like Walmart will be offering some deep discounts on Disney Infinity 3.0 figures as their Black Friday ad has leaked online. You can pick up several/all of the Star Wars Infinity figures for only $9 each as well as the PS4 Starter Pack for $37.
Walmart.com will be offering their exclusive 6″ Black Series Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper for order soon. Watch for the link via social media in a few days.

Most of us want to see the 3.75″ SA figure line continue, right? But does it really have to cost this much? Especially when nearly everything else of comparable size/articulation costs consumers way less?
Is this really Hasbro’s only option to keep a decent articulated line going? Or instead of full SA figures, why can’t they have the baseline articulation be around 10 points, and have a unified line with a MSRP around $8.99 (such as similar quality to THIS)?
Is a beyond 5POA line that’s more affordable too much to ask for? Share your thoughts in the forums.
