Our friends at Rebelscum are reporting that Hasbro has lifted the embargo on selling new (2012) merchandise on the Jan. 30 street date so retailers may commence stocking their shelves with product at any time, which is good news considering most toy shelves were decimated over the holidays.
UPDATE: Hasbro has issued a clarification regarding the street date for the new 2012 merchandise. The original January 30 date is still in effect, the only place where it isn’t is in the UK.

After the long holiday weekend, I hit up my usual Target stop this morning and found that they have placed their exclusive Luke’s Tauntaun, Landspeeder and Search for Luke Skywalker sets on clearance for $17.48 each. I also noticed that the Clone Wars Republic Attack Shuttle was down to $55.48. Your store’s clearance items may differ, but if you are looking for some post-holiday deals, start checking your stores ASAP as they won’t last long.
Entertainment Earth has updated with their 2012 Star Wars pre-orders and there are a couple new Deluxe/Class I/Fleet Vehicle Figures sets that have popped up in Wave 2. The first is the “Republic Sub with SCUBA Clone Trooper” and the second is the “Republic Recon Fighter with Anakin Skywalker“. While no images are yet shown for these, one might be able to assume that the first one is from the Clone Wars season 4 opening story arc involving the Attack on Mon Cala city.
