Five Below Finds

The fact that Hasbro’s 5poa TFA figures are showing up at Five Below stores isn’t “new” information, but just how many of these figures never made it to primary retail outlets is amazing.

Hasbro just seems unable to get their product on a consistent distribution flow to big box retailers anymore – which of course that isn’t new information either!

But – if you are looking for some decent 5poa figures for about $5 each, and have a Five Below store in your area… well, you know the drill.

Star Wars Girl Power

Reports are coming in that some retailers, such as Target are receiving solid cases of the 6″ 40th Anniversary Princess Leia figure, such as the image above provided by forum member dubsack.  This also appears to be happening at some Toys”R”us stores.

Now, we’re not opposed to this great figure of our favorite princess being in good supply, but solid cases of anything in this scale at mass retail seems like it could cause problems, unless we’re talking Stormtroopers or Royal Guards (even that would be risky).

Great 3.75″ Playset News!

The 20+ year drought for professionally made 3.75″ dioramas / playsets for our collections if finally coming to an end!  GTP-Toys has approved their first production run of 3.75″ diorama walls – if you placed an order, keep an eye on your inbox over the coming weeks.

Not only that, but they also passed details along to us about some cool new 6″ product walls that are also going to be available soon.  For all the new details we’ve received (including some cool production images), click here!

After that, head on over to their website to secure your order at Galactictradingpost.com!

Rogue One Pricing Fluctuations

You’re probably well aware that Hasbro’s last wave of Rogue One figures is available online through various e-tailers, but you may not have seen the price fluctuations on Admiral Raddus, Galen Erso and Lieutenant Sefla on Amazon.

Pricing has dropped down to $11-$12 at times, then back up to $18-$20 per figure.  If you’re in the market for these figures, it may be worth keeping an eye on these prices and grab whatever you are needing when the price feels reasonable to you… and remember, down the road, $20 or so could be considered very reasonable for these figures on the after-market, so don’t wait too long to secure your figures there or through one of our sponsors.

3.75″ Space Walls Arriving Soon from GTP-Toys

We’ve been informed by our friends at GTP-Toys that their highly anticipated “Space Walls” in the 3.75 scale have arrived from their factory and they expect to begin shipping out orders next week.

If you like to display your figures with any sort of diorama or playset aesthetic, then this is time to get very excited because what these folks are doing is changing the hobby for the better.  Those who have already been enjoying their 6″ scale products can attest to just how amazing this stuff is.

Black Series Overstock

As many collectors feared, the experiment with having TBS 3.75″ as an exclusive line to Walmart has turned out to be a mess.

In fact, the 6″ line has also become quite a nightmare across many retailers considering the mountains of Jyn and Cassian figures that are bottlenecking later assortments from reaching big box retailers.

Even with deep discounts, Walmart can’t seem to move much of this stuff  (Hey, Hasbro… the trend here is you massively overproduced hero characters  – and some in obscure outfits, – please don’t do this again).

How about you?  What’s the trend at your current Walmart / Target / Toys”R”us / etc?   Share your thoughts here or in our forums after the jump!

UPDATE – Just after posting this, forum moderator Jodo sent me this pic as his local Walmart (Edwardsville, IL) just received two more cases of this same wave that was released a year ago… how can they get in more of these when the same figures are falling off the pegs??

If this is the scene at your local Walmart, well…  No Scarif Troopers for you!
