New Year! New Show! We’re back after taking some time to bask briefly in the afterglow of The Force Awakens. With the holiday’s behind us and Toy Fair right around the corner, there is still much to be discussed in the collecting community from Hasbro, LEGO, Funko, Hot Toys and more. We also give a few parting thoughts on The Force Awakens as we prep ourselves for Rogue One in December. All this and more on Episode 85 of The Realm Recap.
There are only 11 days left to get in on the next Smuggler’s Bounty box from Funko. Each subscription box includes exclusive merchandise from The Force Awakens including T-shirts, POP! Vinyl Bobbleheads and more.
After an extended drought, some St. Louis are Wal-Mart stores have started receiving new TBS 3.75″ figures. Good luck on those toy runs and be sure to keep us posted on your finds.
While it was a nice surprise finding Wal-Marts latest wave of 3.75″ Black Series today, the excitement quickly turned to aggravation once opening Finn… I picked up two of this figure, and both had fused right elbow joints.
The first one snapped immediately – the second one I was able to save only through my experience with customizing. Hopefully this doesn’t turn out to be a widespread issue… but please share your experiences after the jump!
It appears that with the new year, Wal-Mart has increased the price of basic TFA figures by about a dollar each. This puts them closer in line with the likes of competing retailers; and after having a hard time keeping Star Wars figures in stock around the holidays, this price hike comes as little surprise. So be prepared to pay a little more for the “budget line” moving forward.
Happy New Year from all of us at Yakface.com. Thanks for your continued patronage as well your patience with the site. Look for some big changes in that regard in 2016. We hope to continue the type of coverage you’ve come to expect from us for many more years to come.
Here we are, right in the midst of a great new Star Wars film with a huge demand for action figures related to the movie, and a ton of people haven’t seen a sniff of anything past Wave 1 from Wal-Mart’s exclusive 3.75″ Black Series figures.
Apparently this line is so exclusive, many stores are being completely left out after Wave 1 in spite of having dedicated peg space for these figures (remember, after Wave 1 is when the NEW figures from the NEW MOVIE are included).
What’s the scene like in your area? Better? Just as bad? Share your thoughts/findings/pics after the jump!
The Toys”R”us exclusive Rancor Pit set has been discounted to $79.99 now on remaining stock – quite the deal for this fantastic set. As always, your mileage may vary as some stores are obviously sold out by now.
