My new issue of Star Wars Insider landed today and inside, there is a reveal of a very cool Celebration exclusive for an even better cause. Hot Wheels is having a special R2-KT character car for sale ($10.00 each). Disney and Mattel will be donating the proceeds to Star Wars: Force for Change.
MTV.com has posted an article announcing that fans at Star Wars Celebration will get the chance to take home 6 awesome LEGO Star Wars style movie posters. Jedi News alerts us that the reverse of the poster features DisneyXD’s new Droid Tales series.
Some of you have seen posts recently regarding the weird shifting scale for some of the new clones in the 3.75″ Black Series line (Rex, Doom, Wolffe). The inconsistency doesn’t stop there as the new 6″ Leia Boushh towers over her previous 6″ body. What is going on here??? Thanks to Kool Kollectibles for the heads up on this image from The Fwoosh.
Jedi Temple Archives has called our attention to an image of an as-of-yet unannounced (but rumored) TRU Exclusive Jabba’s Rancor Pit set posted on Facebook. The set looks to include several repacked figures, but that Jabba in there is drawing attention as it looks to be new. Stay tuned for more details as they arise.
Thanks to FanoftheWars on Twitter, we can confirm that the digital versions of Episodes I-III, and V, VI do NOT have the 20th Century Fox fanfare intro played before them.
Below is a quick video I grabbed of the new opening fanfare:
ThinkGeek has spent the last several months excitedly preparing the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. The online retailer is proud to announce that they will be debuting a number of exclusive items that will only be available to attendees as well as early release items that will be for sale both at the show and on ThinkGeek.com. Click on through to check them out.
StarWars.com has just announced that 4 unaired episodes from The Clone Wars will be making their debut at Star Wars Celebration and fans will get to learn the fate of “Echo”. These “Bad Batch” episodes will be presented in similar fashion to the unfinished Utapau arc that was released last year.
There is a rumor circulating that there is a major change/correction in the release of Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection, and if true, will right a terrible wrong. Word is that A New Hope as been revised once again to show that Han shot first in the infamous confrontation with Greedo. There is no visual proof of this yet or word of any other tinkering going on with any other scenes in any of the other films. I guess we’ll know tomorrow.
Update: According to Dark Horizons, the rumor is false.
As we previously reported, customizing master sillof (Jamie Follis) will be hosting a customizing panel at Star Wars Celebration on Friday, April 17th from 12pm-1pm. Some more details about the panel have been posted at his site.
This will be the second time that Jamie has headed up this event, and if you are going to be at C7, you ought to make an effort to attend. Work from some of the Yakface forum members you are familiar with will be featured in this panel, including some custom figure giveaways!
Our friends at Jedi-bibliothek posted earlier today a look at the new Boba Fett Action Figure Variant Cover for Marvel’s Star Wars #4. This makes 2 action figure variant covers for this issue. – the first one being Chewbacca.
