Toyguide Update: Republic AV-7 Mobile Cannon

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Republic AV-7 Mobile Cannon from The Clone Wars Collection.

PROS: This all new offering from Hasbro has a lot of play value for being a piece of artillery. It features a surprising amount of articulation in the legs and turret portions.  The gunner platform work well here… on par in terms of expandability of play along this lines of the AT-TE and Turbo Tank’s “extra features”. Trust me, you’ll want more than one.

CONS: You’ll want more than one.

Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this vehicle is worth adding to your collection.

Customizer Mega Spotlight

This weekend we take a look at several new creations from some very talented customizers in the Yakface forums!

First up, check out the latest customs by Peakob1, who continues to populate his collection with more characters from the Droids cartoon series.

MarcusStarkiller has also been very active with customs of his own, you’ll certainly want to see his take on a realistic version of Pre Vizsla!

Last but not least, Darth Depressis adds more customs for his fan fiction photonovel series – check those out here!

Toyguide Update: Stealth Ops Clone Trooper (TRU Exclusive)

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Stealth Operations Clone Trooper from The Clone Wars Collection.

PROS: Nice, crisp deco on the helmet and shoulder bells, even the soles of the boots are painted. For an exclusive, the price is comparable to the standard basic figure price. (Even cheaper if purchased during the current 2 for $10.99 promotion.)

CONS: Should have been designated as “Blackout” as identified by LFL and The Clone Wars Episode Guide. A bit light on accessories for a clone and maybe under articulated for some collectors as it uses the divisive “Stone” body.

Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this figure is worth adding to your collection.
