Fleet Farm’s annual Toy Catalog has started to hit mailboxes in the Midwest and inside shows that Vintage, Clone Wars and Saga Legends will be on sale for $6.89 each. Toyland section kicks off next weekend, October 15 at 6 am.
PROS: Although delayed, Hasbro manages to get a hard to find figure from 2009 back in to the rotation and on the pegs. The overall sculpt is nice as is the inclusion of his sidekick Pilf Mukmuk.
CONS: The limited articulation count may be off-putting for some. May still be difficult to find in some areas. Tiny goggles may be the first accessory lost by unsupervised, young collectors.

Store reports at Coreplanets.com have indicated that after the great purge of TVC pegwarmers at Target stores, the result so far is mostly Wave 5 being stocked… and sure enough, I saw the same thing today.
While we greatly appreciate that Hasbro has taken some action to get rid of all those 4-LOMs, Dengars and yellowing oversized bucket head Clone Troopers, we don’t think that seeing Wave 5 showing up again is a great sign. Our hope is this is either isolated to certain distribution centers, or will be limited to a case per store – because there are too many good figures in the later waves that are too hard to find.

Sideshow Collectibles today has announced the eagerly anticipated Commander Bacara for their 1:6 scale of Militaries of Star Wars line. Pre-orders start October 13th!
PROS: Hasbro delivers yet another all-new Plo Koon for the Clone Wars line. The sculpt overall is fantastic with a lot of detail worked into the leg wraps and head. The additional removable accessories are a nice touch as well. He shares the same torso and legs as the Cold Weather Kit Fisto (CW60) so parts like the head, hands and traction spikes can be swapped between the two of them. Despite being based of a comic book source, the sculpt fits it seamlessly with the rest of the animated series-based figures.
CONS: None.

It seems that in addition to some Galactic Heroes merchandise, TJ Maxx stores are also getting in overstock of the Clone Wars Deluxe figures from last year – priced at $9.99, you may want to swing by your local TJ Maxx store if you have one in your area to see if there’s any deals on Star Wars items such as these.
Sideshow Collectibles as released their latest “Ask Sideshow” column and amongst their Star Wars product announcements and teases there is a not-so-subtle hint of a possible 1:6 scale Bespin Carbon Freezing Chamber environment in the works. What’s funny is that this revelation is attached to an answer to question I submitted on their site back in June.
Just a reminder that Hallmark is having their 2011 Keepsake Ornament Debut this weekend (Oct 8-9) where you’ll be able to pick up the exclusive, in-store only LEGO Darth Vader Ornament.
