Target Exclusive Retro Collection TPM 6pk Arriving In the U.S. Releasing In March?

Based on some checking I’ve done at Target, it appears that my local store is receiving the exclusive Retro Collection The Phantom Menace 6pk the week of March 19. That is not necessarily the street date or expected release date so your store availability may vary. This news follows up our report that these sets have started to arrive in the U.S. based on recent shipping info.

Black Series Clone Trooper (Phase I) Fan Channel Figure Coming Soon

Originally pipelined at Hasbro Pulse Con, it sounds like the Black Series Clone Trooper (Phase I) with updated body (code name “Marathon”) will be a fan channel exclusive and available in the same case assortment at the long-awaited Ki-Adi-Mundi. Both figures should be 4x per case, similar to how the Anakin Skywalker (Tatooine) and Padme Amidala (Royal Decoy) are being distributed.

Rumor Report: The Return of TPM Carded Figures for The Black series

I received word this morning that for the 50th Anniversary of Lucasfilm, Hasbro plans to re-issue 3 Black Series figures on Episode I style cardbacks like they did for the exclusive Darth Maul and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Figures include Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu and Jar Jar Binks. There is already an overseas online retailer listing these for preorder but I imagine they’ll be pulled down very soon if not already.

These 3 figures correlate to the new list of Black Series code names that I found the other day and are as follows:

“Winter” – Qui-Gon Jinn
“Autumn” – Mace Windu
“Summer” – Jar Jar Binks

Availability is expected to be around March/April. It is unknown who will be offering that at the time of this post but we’ll provide and update when necessary.

“New” Vintage Collection Figures Hitting Walmart

Reports are coming in that the newest repack/reissue wave of TVC figures has started to hit Walmarts across the U.S. For long time collectors these sculpts are probably in your collections already, but the human figures have been updated with Hasbro’s PhotoReal process and the card backs are different than previously released.
