VC47 General Lando Calrissian

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of General Lando Calrissian from the Vintage Collection’s Wave 6.

PROS: A solid update to the OTC version with more than enough articulation, great overall sculpt and use of soft goods.

CONS: Obviously the cape strap is the glaring offender here, but don’t pass on this figure solely because of that. Ball-joint hip articulation seems a bit of overkill and distracts from the overall esthetic.

Got a Case of Yellow Fever? There’s a Cure

For several months now, there have been many justified complaints regarding the discoloration “yellowing” of clone trooper helmets in the Vintage Collection. Our friends at JediDefender have posted in their forums a couple relatively simple fixes if yours have started to turn or if you’ve skipped buying figures because of the discoloration already present on MOC figures.

VC46 AT-RT Driver

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of AT-RT Driver from the Vintage Collection’s Wave 6.

PROS: Completely retooled figure improves upon the original without making the 6 year old version obsolete. Loaded with articulation enabling him to better pilot his mount. New weapons are awesome and the new head sculpt should be the new standard for all clones going forward.

CONS:Shoulder pad armor is a bit restrictive when trying to position the arms out to the figure’s side.

VC45 Clone Trooper (Phase I)

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Clone Trooper (Phase I) from the Vintage Collection’s Wave 6.
PROS: Hasbro goes back to the drawing board and creates a totally new and more accurate clone trooper. Loaded with articulation including ball-jointed wrists and hips. The facial expression on the new head sculpt is superb as is the paint treatment for the new weapon molds.

CONS: Sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to previous generations of clone troopers, but don’t let that stop you from buying one (or more).

VC44 Luke Skywalker (Dagobah Landing)

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Luke Skywalker (Dagobah Landing)from the Vintage Collection’s wave 6.

PROS: A very nice rework of last year’s Snowspeeder Luke. The head sculpt is one of the best ever in terms of Mark Hamill’s likeness in TESB. The darker fightsuit helps to convey the “wet look” even without additional weathering deco. The incorporation of the holster (with leg strap) is really well executed.

CONS: Retooled gloveless forearms make the arms seem a bit long. Should be a little more dirty (especially the helmet) considering he just crashed into a slimy mud hole.
