Regal Robot has announced their Clone Trooper Maquette from Attack of the Clones will be available for order on Jan 6 (noon ET). This maquette has been mastered from the original molds for direct lineage to the original sculpture. Developed with hands-on access to the archives artifacts, our team has crafted a faithful recreation of this beautifully developed concept. At approximately 13.75″ tall (including the wood display base), each solid-resin maquette is meticulously hand painted in multiple layers. Signed by Concept Design Supervisor for Attack of the Clones, Doug Chiang
This signature edition maquette is priced at $499 and will only be available for 6 days
Hot Toys has announced their latest addition to their 1:6 scale line with the 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper. Available in Deluxe (shown) and standard versions.
Both are available now for preorder at Sideshow Collectibles.
Online retailer Toywiz.com has/had a listing for an upcoming Black Series Clone Trooper Helmet shipping this summer. No word yet (obviously) as to which clone design it may be but either way, they lend themselves to a lot of potential repaints for the foreseeable future.
With the return of The Clone Wars next year it would probably be fitting to get a new clone trooper or two into collectors’ hands. You hopefully caught our report back in May of the rumored Clone Commander Bly, now there is comm chatter that there will be another Clone Commander joining the ranks and probably be a fan channel/online exclusive. There are plenty of commanders yet to be made and with the existing tooling coupled with some stellar paint work and new accessories, Hasbro should be able to knock a few out rather easily.
