Yesterday, we were all witness to the amazing visuals of The Force Awakens in the new trailer. Now, some of the backstory is getting fleshed out through the new Battlefront game via a DLC (downloadable content). EA has announced that the eagerly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront will be debuting at Star Wars Celebration.

Starfighters (with the ability to make use of special modifications) and the classic space dogfights of Star Wars are coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic. BioWare, a division of Electronic Arts Inc., and LucasArts have officially announced Galactic Starfighter, an upcoming the Free-to-Play digital expansion of the hit Star Wars: The Old Republic. The new add-on features Player-vs-Player (PvP) combat with epic 12-against-12 space battles, a variety of unique starships, a wide set of customization and upgrade options, and multiple battle zones and gameplay modes.
Electronic Arts has teased that one of its multiple in-development Star Wars titles is an all-new Battlefront game. Speaking today during the Stifel 2013 Technology Conference, CFO Blake Jorgensen offered the hint.
