Although still officially, “unofficial”, we’ve received reports that the exclusive Rise of Boba Fett Ultmate Battle Pack has started hitting Toys”R”Us stores ($99.99) in California and Arizona. Just to recap, this Clone Wars item was initially revealed over at Sandtroopers.com a couple months ago and it includes an all-new, larger Slave I, Boba Fett, Bossk, Mace Windu, R8-B7, Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu’s Jedi Starfighter.
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the K-Mart Exclusive Jodo Kast (Bounty Hunter)
PROS: A major improvement over the first attempt back in 2008. Great detailing on the armor/jumpsuit and the sculpt selection couldn’t have been better.
CONS: None really unless you live in an area without a K-Mart. A bloodied face paint job would have really put this figure over the top. Helmet is a little snug which lends itself to deforming over the head (especially over the nose). Ships with the belt assembled backward but easily correctable if you are an opener.

The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Clone WarsKul Teska
PROS:Despite its immense size, Hasbro managed to pack all the articulation and sculpted details that we’ve become accustomed to on figures a third of its stature. The unique packaging also sets this figure apart from the basic figure line.
CONS: If you haven’t played the game, I doubt you know who this dude is. The $14.99 price point is a bit high but considering it uses enough plastic to make two and a half figures, I guess it seems about right.

As we gear up for Comic Con, let’s take a look at the new Jabba the Hutt.
So what’s in store?
Packaging: Standard to all the Shadow the the Darkside packaging, Captain Rex overlooks the dark sky and we are given an amazing piece of art of everything that is contained in the box: Jabba, throne, Salacious Crumb, and Oola the Dancing Girl!
So what about the figure set itself?:
The throne is all new with rolling wheels and GREAT sculpting detail on the surface. The gargoyle heads on the front and sides look great but are TINY. They do have real metal rings though! The hooka is just a rehash of what we got in the SAGA Ultra set….nothing new there. Thrown in for a little decoration is eight pillows of various colors and sizes, a suprise (but welcomed) touch!
Salacious Crumb is a slight retool on the Crumb that was included with the TAC C-3PO. Well sculpted, but sits awakwardly on the throne (because he was sculpted to be sitting on C-3PO’s shoulders).
Oola is the stand out hit from the whole set. All new sculpt, super articulated and soft goods outfit (yes, you can even recreate the infamous breast reveal shot from the film). The body of the figure is just a “blank” female body (think Barbie but green).
Jabba himself is all new, beautifully sculpted (even includes the tail scar and the arm tattoo). He has articulation in the head and arms and a “bendy” tail. However…………there is a HUGE flaw with this figure. The body is hollow and the material is a VERY, VERY thin rubbery material covering the body (anyone remember those horrible talking Yodas from the past) that’s what we are dealing with here. Do not be surprised if the body splits and tears over time. MAJOR disappointment.
Overall, pleased with the set, will make a great diorama, and by far the most accurate Jabba to date!
