Tonight we get our first look at the upcoming (yet still unannounced) Vintage Collection ARC Trooper Fives (VC172) courtesy of Instagram follower @vivisectstudios.
The other figures in the wave include Hondo Ohnaka (VC173), Chirrut Imwe (VC174) and Luke Skywalker – Jedi Knight (VC175)
It looks like there is a third 6″ Black Series “Holiday Trooper” coming soon from Hasbro. Checking my usual resources, it shows that dozens of cases of “SW BL HOLIDAY TROOPER 2” are currently en route to the U.S.. This mystery trooper joins the Walmart Holiday Trooper 5 discovered back in June and the Star Wars Holiday Trooper that was rooted out from Target system a couple weeks ago. Price for all 3 of them are about $25 each.
In a surprise reveal (and confirmation of a previous rumor), GameStop is now taking preorders for their exclusive 6″ Black Series Darth Nihilus (Gaming Greats) figure from KOTOR. Expected released date in Oct. 26. Thanks to figurebrian on Instagram for the heads up.
If you follow us on social media (Instagram and Twitter), or are a Patreon subscriber, you received notification of this figure’s availability prior to our post here.
Poking around the non-U.S. Amazon sites, I found a listing for the upcoming Black Series Clone Wars Clone Trooper from Wave 27. The descriptive text specifically calls out this clone trooper as being of the Phase I design:
The Black Series 6-inch figure is carefully crafted to resemble the Phase I Clone Trooper character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, plus features details and multiple points of articulation.
Now, Amazon text has been wrong before but looking at some of the other Amazon listings for Luke (Endor) and Leia (Endor), this text seems to be indicative for what we may be getting for the clone. Hopefully we can get better confirmation soon.
I’ve heard some interesting rumors over the past couple of days regarding upcoming products for The Vintage Collection and it sounds like we may not have to wait too much longer for a reveal/announcement for Hasbro’s version of The Razor Crest from The Mandalorian.
As with any rumor we share, until there is an announcement they are unofficial, approximate and subject to cancellation and/or delay by the manufacturer.
UPDATE: Based on a series of very compelling/convincing screenshots received over the past couple of weeks – if true – it appears that the TVC Razor Crest may have a price point of $349.99.
Additional research has confirmed that the next wave of 6″ Black Series (wave 27) is currently en route or has arrived at U.S. ports. The rumored breakdown of this wave can be viewed on our 2020 Master List page.
A couple weeks ago we posted word of the possibility of 2 new 6″ Black Series Deluxe figures coming to the line later this year, early next. With some searching via the Walmart app, the second set has been located. It is rumored that the first of these is Jar Jar Binks and the second has yet to be uncovered. Neither set is exclusive to Walmart and both are priced at $29,99. More info to come when available.

Sponsor Entertainment Earth has opened preorders for some older, hard-to-find TBS figures and recent Vintage Collection figures. Figures include Clone Commander Wolffe (TBS), Commander Gree (TBS), General Grievous (TBS), Gamorrean Guard (TBS), Cara Dune (TVC), and The Mandalorian (TVC). Head on over and avoid those high aftermarket prices.
An interesting observation was made regarding the packaging design for the new Black Series 4.0 assortment. Hasbro may be hinting at future accent color usage in the line as the top right tab on the packaging doesn’t match the overall color accent of the box.
BOX ACCENT COLOR / TAB ACCENT COLOR Kamino Clone (Yellow) / Red (used for AOTC) Teebo (Green) / Dark Brown (used for The Mandalorian) Ackbar (Green) / Tan ? Mandalorian (Dark Brown) / Light Pink ? Stormtrooper (Dark Brown) / Eggshell Blue ? Darth Vader (Blue) / Purple? (different from Rebels color)
