The holidays are over but that hasn’t stopped the fireworks this week as a lot of news and confirmations surrounding Hasbro’s plans for 2015 have come to light. The big news this week was several lists of proposed product for The Force Awakens made their way online. Although nothing incredibly revelatory, there does seem to be no holding back in terms of merchandise. Target also gets a large spotlight this week as they’ve started implementing a new price for The Black Series that has caused quite a response from collectors. Is this an isolated event or will other retailers follow suit? Sideshow news this week is light but there is something they have in common with Hasbro – a delay of product. Celebration Anaheim announcements are starting to gear up with the reveal of an new set of pins and the debut of Smuggler’s Bounty audio drama from Kyle Newman. Plus, Flyguy and I run down our latest reviews and acquisitions from the past week! All this and much more on Episode 47 of The Realm Recap!
In less depressing news (depending on your point of view), Wave 2 of the Saga Legends/Rebels assortment has hit shelves in Singapore. Thanks to cknewsstand for tagging us on Instagram for the report.
$14.29 is now the price of The Black Series 3-3/4″ figures at my Target and there they will stay. Target.com is also now charging $12.99 per figure as well, while ToysRUs.com is still (for the moment) charging $9.99.

My local Target completed their Star Wars aisle reset this morning and I noticed the return of the Saga Legends/Rebels shelf tags, which had been missing from many stores over the holidays. It looks like the new planogram calls for 6 pegs of 6″ Black Series, 6 pegs of 3-3/4″ Black Series, 3 pegs of Mission Series and 3 pegs of Saga Legends. While most of the pegs are currently empty, waiting for product to be replenished and the port issue in Long Beach to be resolved, hopefully we’ll see these aisles return to a more inviting status soon.
In some sort of galactic joke, Walgreens.com is once again offering the Prototype Boba Fett. If you had your previous order canceled or weren’t able to find it in stores, here’s another shot at it – in stock and ready to ship.
For weeks and months now, much of Hasbro’s merchandise, Star Wars in particular, has been held up at the Port of Long Beach due to contract negotiations with union workers. Hasbro isn’t alone in this matter either. Click on through to read an email I just received from Sideshow claiming this same delay problem with one of my orders.
