With the new Toys”R”us reset, obviously most of us are hoping this means better things for the collector lineup’s distribution. Today I came across some Wave 4 figures for the first time at a Toys”R”us; which was a sight for sore eyes.
Now is the time to start getting back to the hunt, but as always these days, your chances of success on toy runs are not what they used to be… but perhaps things may be back on the upswing?
Check out my local TRU today to see if they refreshed their stock of merchandise* and I was surprised find shelf tags the Star Wars Rebels Jedi Reveal Mission Series set.
*Another interesting observation, this particular store killed the entire new set up for the Star Wars line and went back to having 2 standard aisle for product. Weird.
UPDATE: ToysRUs.ca has this set up for preorder now with a 10/17 release date.
Forum member Grimace has shared several pics of Hasbro’s new Inquisitor’s TIE Advanced Prototype in the forums. It looks to me like Hasbro has hit another home run here, meaning all three of the new Rebels mid-size vehicles surpass most of Hasbro’s other recent efforts. Head on over to the forums for a closer look, and to share your thoughts.
The next Yakfinities Customizing Challenge will launch in October, which means for the next few days, all registered forum members are eligible to help decide what the theme will entail. Voting is and easy and just a click away.
While many have been quick to dismiss Hasbro’s Hero Series X-wing Fighter as a waste of retail space and tooling dollars, customizers have been transforming it into a display worthy piece that is far closer to 3-3/4″ scale than any prior X-wing release. Check out Facebook images for the amazing custom paint job by Saravana Kumarthat really brings out the existing details and sculpting.
Our current Customizing Challenge runs through September 30, which means there’s still a few weeks left to create a Yakfinities entry for your chance at a prize! Head on over to the forums for all the details.
It’s been quite some time since collectors have had much to get excited about when it comes to Hasbro’s vehicle offerings. But that may change with the new assortment just now starting to hit from the Rebels line. I really don’t think my pics do these things justice, but I do believe these vehicles are worth every penny! For a better look, head on over to the forums!
With just a couple minutes to spare for a quick toy run to Toys”R”us today, I stumbled upon something not seen in quite some time by my weary eyes – 3.75″ scale vehicles worth picking up! Head on over to the forums for a closer look.
Personal Note: Priced at $22.99 each, these “mid-size” vehicles offer not only all-new sculpts, but are pretty well made too. No, they’re not Hasbro’s finest achievement but for what the retailers are charging, it seems like a very fair deal. These are light years better than all the Jedi Starfighters Hasbro’s been trying to force down our throats for years. I’ll be getting pics posted of them “loose” as soon as I can, and I can already say I want at least two more walkers. BTW, my son loves these.
This week’s episode of The Realm Recap focuses heavily on the Black Series 6″ line as the first wave of the new “black and blue” line look has been hitting Walgreens stores hard (except mine of course). We also look at an amazing 6″ scale AT-ST work-in-progress that must be seen to be believed. We also discuss the merits of the new Rebels “Mystery” set that was revealed this week and the new products hitting the Disney Store and much more. Click on through to check out the latest episode and feel free to subscribe to our channel and leave suggestions on what you’d like to see covered on the show.
Also, if you prefer an audio-only version, a downloadable MP3 is available as well.
