Rumor Report: New TVC Items To Be revealed/Confirmed at Toy Fair?

This coming weekend, Hasbro will be having their annual off-site presentation for Toy Fair 2020 in New York. Things have been quiet on the rumor front for the Vintage Collection for a while but hopefully we get official confirmations of some past and newly rumored items for the line. Recently, a Nebraska specialty retailer leaked word of possible update to the previous Amazon exclusive TVC Slave I, there’s also the long-standing rumor of a certain Bespin playset in the cards for 2020. A little Bothan told me that we may even see the reveal of 6 “new” TVC figures that represent characters from The Clone Wars, Rogue One, A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. These rumored figures are a mix of all new sculpts, repaints as well as repacks of recently released figures.

New TVC Remnant Stormtrooper from The Mandalorian

Also revealed yesterday at Manga Barcelona was the Vintage Collection Remnant Stormtrooper from The Mandalorian. This figure utilizes the excellent Rogue One Imperial Stormtrooper sculpt and features a weathered deco.

If our info is correct, this Trooper is the figure codenamed “DUCK” in our Master List of UPCs/SKUs. Interestingly, that would also support our theory that the upcoming TVC “DUCKBOAT” vehicle is directly related to this figure and is may be a new Troop Transport which would be quite awesome considering Jon Favreau’s affinity for designs and concepts from the Original Trilogy and EU/Legends.

TVC Wave 6 Case Pack and TVC Wave 7 SKU Info Added

I’ve updated our UPC/DPCI/SKU Master List to include the case breakdown for the next wave (Wave 6) of Vintage Collection figures that includes Lando (Solo), Chewbacca (ANH), Stormtrooper (Rogue One), Captain Phasma (TFA) and Elite Praetorian Guard (TLJ). I’ve also completed the Walmart SKU info for TVC Wave 7 which include Luke Skywalker (Crait), Death Star Gunner (Rogue One), Assault Tank Commander (Rogue One) and R2-D2 (ANH). Hasbro has released new loose and carded images for wave 6 of the Vintage Collection. This wave includes Chewbacca (ANH), Lando Calrissian (Solo), Imperial Stormtrooper (Rogue One), Captain Phasma (TFA), Elite Praetorian Guard (TLJ). Click on through to check them out.

$1.00 Star Wars Figures

If you have a Dollar Tree store in your area, if might be worth your while to swing by and see if they are getting in Rogue One figures.   Their store locator is here.

Personal Note:  At two different Dollar Tree stores in the St. Louis area today, I found remnants of the following:  Darth Vader, Rey (Jakku), Director Krennic, Chirrut, Jyn (scarf), Cassian (blue coat), Princess Leia (animated Rebels).  For $1.00 each! 

Maybe these are remnants from Toys”R”us warehouses, but they couldn’t find someone who would sell these for more than a buck each?   The Cassian and Jyn figures are already starting to pile up… so maybe this was a good call… on any note, no more 5POA, Hasbro and Disney… please.  The product is just too boring.  Modern Star Wars figures need enhanced articulation and more variety of aliens and droids in the mix.
