Hasbro’s new Forces of Destiny line has been showing up at retail over the past week. How are these appearing to move in your area?

Recently, our friends at Jeditemplearchives shared news of Target’s plan to merchandise clearance Star Wars items in their very own planogram section.
While traveling today, I came across a Target store that had just reset their clearance Star Wars items following these corporate guidelines (this store also had an endcap filled with at least 30 more 5poa figures from TFA and Rogue One and a ton of Ezra speederbikes).
What kind of clearance selection are you all seeing at your local Targets? How low do these products need to go for customers to put them in their carts? Share your thoughts after the jump!
Target has finally begun the process of clearancing out product that has been desperately staring back at you for nearly the past year. While most of these are the “lower tiered” 5POA style toys that even the kids seem to have no interest in, you will also likely find items from TBS getting marked down significantly as well.
While it’s good to get out with the old, seeing what is on clearance, and more importantly, knowing what NEVER MADE IT to retail, is a chilling sign for just how bad the brand is being merchandised these days. We can only hope that Hasbro has a much better game plan for the upcoming two films and beyond and turns this frown upside down.
Head on over to the forums for some close up images of the items marked down at my local store in the STL area, as well as the markdowns (which are already significant)… and for a personal rant.

Reports are coming in from coast to coast that wave 2 of the 40th Anniversary Collection is being found at Target. Black Series collector groups on Facebook and our friend Corey from First Order Transmissions reports snagging these over the extended holiday break through today.
Good luck to all those in need.
While heading to the cabin for the extended holiday weekend, I thought I’d try my luck at a couple “backwoods” Walmarts. My first stop (Pine City, MN) yielded a 40th Anniversary Jawa and Death Squad Commander, but my second stop was where I really hit the jackpot…
Twitter follower darthdj666 reports scoring his Thrawn wave this morning at Target in Atlanta, GA.
Joining all of the wave 2 card variants for the 40th Anniversary Collection, the Darth Vader Legacy Pack box has also received the text adjustment for the age recommendation – switching to all UPPER CASE. Since Target has given up the ghost on carrying this set, you can continue to find steady shipments of these hitting Walmart.
UPDATE: This text change also extends to the Darth Vader cardback inside the box making for 3 distinct carded versions:
“Red Eyes” variant – lower case text
“Dark Eyes” variant – lower case text
“Dark Eyes” variant – UPPER CASE text
The fact that Hasbro’s 5poa TFA figures are showing up at Five Below stores isn’t “new” information, but just how many of these figures never made it to primary retail outlets is amazing.
Hasbro just seems unable to get their product on a consistent distribution flow to big box retailers anymore – which of course that isn’t new information either!
But – if you are looking for some decent 5poa figures for about $5 each, and have a Five Below store in your area… well, you know the drill.
