By now most Target and Toys”R”us stores are putting out Hasbro’s latest Star Wars products, but how many of us are excited by what we are seeing?
I contend that what retailers now have in their Hasbro Star Wars sections is about as exciting as staring at a blank wall, but do you feel the same way? Head on over to the forums for an all-out honest opinion piece on the current situation, and feel free to share your thoughts as well after the jump!
Looks like more of the Black Series product is finally hitting Target. Twitter follower @TheRealRazcal post this image from his store in Arkansas showcasing Dagobah “Macaroni Arms” Luke and Yoda.
Dan from over at StarWarsCollector.com has posted that he found several new Black Series Deluxe, exclusives, Star Wars Command and Rebels Role Play/Armory items at his local Toys”R”Us. Check out the images here.
After one of the largest droughts in modern Star Wars collecting history, new Star Wars items are being found (mostly at Target so far), including the very cool new Mos Eisley Cantina by Lego. While not all Target stores have officially put these items on the shelves yet, some have (and the most others have them in their stockrooms by now for imminent aisle resets). So keep your eyes peeled, and hopefully many of you have been saving your collecting dollars for the influx of new product that is about to bombard the toy aisles!
Some Target stores are beginning to put out new Rebels product in advance of official store resets. Today I came across some new Lego sets and some of the new Star Wars Command line. If you have a Target store in your area it may be worth your while to swing by and see what you come across, but remember your success rate will likely vary as today I was turned down by a store to get me a new Black Series Deluxe Jabba, even though the store had them in the back (which I think many of us have had similar experiences in the past with that).
We were passed this image of the upcoming Toys”R”Us reset coming this August and it appears that Star Wars’ considerable amount of retail space will be shared with Disney’s other property — Marvel.
Our friends at JediDefender have alerted us to the fact that wave 3 of the Mission Series figures have started to hit retail. This example was found at Target in North Carolina. This wave include Obi-Wan with General Grievous and Bespin Luke with Darth Vader. If 5 POA is your thing, now’s the time…
Our friends at JediDefender are reporting the finding of wave 3 of the Saga Legends figures at Walmart in Canada. As a reminder, this wave includes 5 POA versions of Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight), Snowtrooper, Darth Maul (Episode I) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Clone Wars Armor)
If you have a Kmart in your area, you may want to head there quick to see if they have any Scanning Crew sets yet – as stores have dropped the price down to $10 per set through 4/19! Be aware though that it’s unconfirmed if this is a national sale or not.
Of note, their clearance toys are an additional 50% off through 4/19 – there are some great buys to be had, mostly non-Star Wars items; but the 31″ Vader is currently marked down for a very low price too.
